Pregnancy

I think the MAP has failed

First day of my last period was 5th June.

Unprotected sex early hours 21st June.

Took MAP 11am 23rd June.

Period now 3 days late.

I'm so worried. It wouldn't be the end of the world if I was pregnant but it wouldn't be ideal either.

Anyone else been in the same position?

I know someone who took the MAP and who now has a son! It does happen but it's unusual I think. The problem with worrying about it is that it tends to delay your period... If you're late already just do a test. No use putting it off. Good luck. X

I've took the MAP twice in my life and both times it messed up my cycle, the first I was two weeks late then came on and the second time I had a light period for weeks.

Take a test to be sure.

The high dose of hormone from MAP could easily throw your period off. Test You can then go forward with the information.

I'm going to leave it until Tuesday, then I'll be 5 days late

I took the MAP back in Feb well within 24 hours of DTD. My LO is due in Oct! I've taken it before though and it worked fine. Have you got any symptoms?

I felt a bit queasy on Friday and my boobs are a bit tender but I get that when I'm due anyway.

I don't have the exhaustion I had with previous pregnancies but maybe it's a bit early for that - I'd inly be about 4 weeks or so.

I've had the pelvic, back, hip and thigh pain I usually get when I'm due too though, so maybe I'm just going to be late.

I did wonder if anyone was around who had conceived despite the MAP - person above, good luck with your pregnancy!

I am 19 dpo, still no AF, test was neg.

Can I breathe a sigh of relief do you think? Or would the MAP affect the test?

MAP won't affect the test as the pregnancy test is testing for beta HCG; you only get this if you're pregnant. I'd have thought it normal for your cycle to go a bit haywire due to the hormones taken though.
