Cold in a heatwave - remedies?

So, despite the fact that it is a sodding heatwave, I have a horrible cold. Basically a pounding headache, sneezing, runny nose, all the usual cold symptoms. Unfortunately I can't take any time off work & I have to work all weekend so am desperately looking for remedies. Does anyone have any ideas?? I've taken paracetamol when I've been really dying for relief from the headache & I'm drinking buckets of water but I'm just desperate to shake this off as quickly as possible!

Yes I had this as well! Luckily it was quite short lived, so perhaps it will be for you as well!

No super remedies though. Paracetamol for me too. And I went through a lot of throat lozenges and tea with honey and lemon.

It's awful though. My husband got it a few days after me.

I had it too. The only thing that helped apart from paracetamol was lying down with a cold wet flannel folded up and placed over my eyes. I don't know why but it felt so nice. Hope you feel better soon, it's horrible to not be able to take anything to manage the symptoms.
