35 +3 and started getting slight swelling a week or two ago. Was off work though and returned to work yesterday. A day of sitting at my desk and walking about the office and by the time i got home my feet were huge! Toes were no longer touching the floor and i looked like i had sprained both my ankles!

Struggling with shoes, nothing fits. I laid down for half an hour and it helped but feet alreadyvpuffy now.

Anything else i can do to help?

I had this until after I gave birth. Keep them elevated above your heart when possible and drink plenty of fluids.

If you get headaches and or blurred vision though contact your midwife or triage.

I lived in flip flops and long dresses for the last five weeks.

I have them too!! Immersion in cold water helps a bit - as does wrapping your legs in a wet cold towel while you elevate. Keep pottering around between the elevations. It sucks :(

the heat doesn't help AT ALL. I can add sausage fingers and puffy wrists to the joy...

second the cold towel, that helps a lot.

I'm 35+4 and have exactly the same! Mine have been like this for the past 4 weeks or so and are painfully swollen...

I've resorted to buying Birkenstock style sandals from Next which I know live in! Just wanted you to know you're not alone :-)

My OH calls my toes chipolatas!! Blush

Elevating my feet isn't all that easy when i'm work!

I might have to give it a go at lunchtime. Glad its not just me!

Oh my, I know exactly what you mean!!! This weather doesn't help at all!!! I am in the third trimester now and I suppose it all started a few weeks ago ... I can hardly fit into any shoes .. Just sandals !!! and my fingers are swollen too which means my husband had to try and help me ease my wedding ring off before it cut the circulation off to my finger entirely!!!! ( it was turning a funny colour !!)
I find drinking loads of water and walking is beneficial but also rest as much as possible with the legs elevated , I also immerse them in a big bowl of freezing cold water which is bliss and calms them down!

At work... Yes that's a difficult one.. I am on holidays now and then mat leave so no work for me anymore thank goodness but yes, I would find that harder because it's more difficult to rest. Steal another chair to put your feet up at lunch!!!

Tried feet up at ny desk. Not working - would have to sit side on to desk and twist round to phone/computer. Might have ti just go for half hour sit down.
