Pregnancy test confusion

Anyone had a similar experience that ended positive or am I clutching at straws?

+ovulation 12 & 13.06.15
V faint pos IC 25.06.15
Obvious positive (but much fainter than control line) on superdrug and frer the next day
Since then I have tested about 20 times (I know....) mainly with frer, all the fmu ones show the same obvious positive but lines aren't getting any darker.
My gut is telling me it's a CP, I have mild period type pains but no bleeding yet. Also feel warmer than usual like I am running a bit of a temperature.

I'm now around 16 / 17 DPO, shouldn't I be getting a stronger line by now?

How long is your LP normally?

I didn't get a strong line until I was 8 weeks pregnant when I did a random test. Generally a line is a line. Would test again in a week if you are going to retest.

LP is anywhere from 29-33 days, been a bit all over the place for the last few months. My last one was 32 days

Applecore were you getting faint lines before then?

I never understand why people keep testing. I never got a strong positive in any pregnancy.. I got a faint line and didn't test again.

Stop testing man or you'll drive yourself mad!

I know I know... I'm really not doing myself any favours. To explain a little further as to why I'm so neurotic about tests, my daughter was stillborn last summer at 38 weeks. After the glaring + on Sat we stupidly thought it would be a marvelous idea to tell our parents and give them some 'good' news, now I'm bricking it that we have got their (and our) hopes up.
My last pregnancy produced much darker lines at this stage and I can't help but compare and think the worse. I'm running tot the loo every 5 seconds expecting blood.

I took a cb Digi test at 11dpo and a positive 1-2 showing on it and today I thort I would try the theory about ovulation tests working as pregnancy test and this is what I go the darker blue stick is the preg test

Yeah I started testing at 3dpo (lol yeah I no) but I was impatient and nothing came up till around 9dpo on the night very very very faint lines they look more clear in the pic to actually looking at them in person I had to squint n look in the light haha, but I kept getting that for two days till I thort I would test with cb Digi test and then that confirmed it, I think you should buy the clear blue one, but as they say tho a line is a line Hun xxx

Thanks Shock.
I realise I'm sending myself loopy here with a strange obsession with pee sticks. I did consider a CB digi but dreading the disappointment of those two words.
Think a trip to the docs is probably in order.

Stop testing!! And certainly don't do a digi they cause more bother than they are worth. There are so many reasons why they could be faint, but a line is a line. Don't worry about the cramps. I'm nearly 21 weeks now and still get period type cramps. I was very very crampy at the beginning but midwives were not bothered at all as long as they weren't accompanied with bleeding. I know its a very worrying time but please for your sanity put the tests down, let the news sink in you are pregnant, and try and enjoy before the hormones hit you! :) Ps congrats!!

I think a line is a line. Test again in a few days if you want.
I'm so sorry to hear that your little girl died.Flowers

At this point the darkness of the lines.won't predict a cp. I know its hard to wait especially with your awful history. If you stop buying first response which are expensive you should be able to save the money for a private scan at 8 weeks. That would be much more telling in terms of viability than any pregnancy test.

I tested 18 dpo and got the very faint positive, was a bit of a squinter, plus cb digi saying 1-2 weeks. I didn't test again till 8 weeks when I got the strong line. I also paid for a reassurance scan at 9 weeks. So sorry you lost your little girl FlowersFlowers

The lines don't need to get darker! It's going to be a long 40 weeks if you carry on with this madness...

Took me ages to get a decent line this time, I drive myself nuts that I was going to miscarry, I'm 26 weeks now. Try not to worry

Thanks for the replies ladies. Just to update, I saw my GP today, she did a test and it was fainter than those at home. GP agreed that they should be darker by now, had bloods taken and will repeat in two days then it's just a long wait until Mon when the results are back - that is if I don't start bleeding in the meantime. My instinct is telling me that it's a mc unfortunately and GP didn't give much hope.
On the bright side if it does end I'll get that massive glass of vino I've been wanting for the last week Wine
