Is that labour?

I know this has been asked zillions of times but I'm not sure if I'm in labour or if my body is playing mind tricks.
I'm 36+6 with DC2 (but never laboured with DC1) and I have been having mild tightenings on and off for the last 3 weeks.
Since this afternoon, they have increased in pain (stopping me doing things) and are quite frequent (dare I say regular). No show or water gone.
I am at MAC every day for monitoring and everytime I am told my mild tightenings are nothing. As a result, I'm not sure I want to call the ward as I feel like the boy who called the wolf iyswim.
I just don't know what to do anymore Hmm

Is that labour?

I had no show and my waters didn't break with my first.

I felt period like cramps which intensified over time and, like you, stopped me doing things.

Your timings do look fairly regular to me. Given the regularity and given that the pain is now stopping you doing things Id suggest that you call the maternity/labour ward and ask for their opinion.

Don't feel bad calling - they're there to help! Good luck!
