Evening all

Laying here watching cr@p on TV & it's just occurred to me that my little boy isn't wriggling around like he normally is at this time of the evening.

Has this happened to anyone else? I've tried wobbling my belly around to annoy him but nothing.

Any suggestions ladies on how to get him moving so I can put my mind at rest?

Thanks x x

Try eating something sweet, or having a very cold glass of water and then go for a lie down and just try to concentrate on baby and see if that prompts them to have a wriggle.

It happened to me yesterday. No movement all day. But then it started at about 10pm last night and didn't pack up until 3 this morning. Had 3 hours of sleep then it started again. Still going now.... I wish don't wish it would stop for a while, I'm knackered!

Ice cream. Coke. Usually does it. 24 weeks is early still though and may just have shifted. If worried though ring MW xx

I would ring your midwife now if it's been all day, or NHS Direct. Probably fine but you shouldn't take the chance.

Thanks everyone for the speedy replies. Husband has some coke in the fridge so I'll go & have a little & find something yummy to munch.

Actually thinking about it I usually have a little treat in the evening but I was trying to be good tonight so have kept say from the cupboards! Maybe he's not impressed about the lack of chocolate Grin

Try laying on your left side, the mw'a and doctors suggest you lay on your left side for two full hours and have a very cold drink. If no movement after, I would defiantly call the triage. Keep us updated Flowers

I just wanted to update you all. The little pickle did wake up in the end. Thank you for all the ideas. I drank a little cold coke and ate some Cadburys fruit & nut all whilst laying on my left side.

I got to say I really struggle with that! I lay on my right all the time...suppose I should try & get out of that.

Thanks again tho everyone Smile
