UTI, sore throat, wisdom tooth and exhausted - please help!

I'm 5+2.

I have a UTI that I'm taking antibs for, and feel quite grim - my urine smells, my sense of smell is through the roof so its even worse.

I'm scheduled for surgery (an oral surgeon, not a dentist) in August for a very badly degraded wisdom tooth - abscess on root, 2/3rds of it broken away, very close proximity to nerves. Its this bad because my NHS dentist insisted he could remove it himself (he failed twice - local didn't take and he yelled at me when I was in hysterics) Paid for a private dentist to have a look and he was horrified and referred me back to the NHS for surgery - that was in April - finally got the appointment for consult a week ago but surgeon wants to wait till second trimester and I won't be able to have Diazepam, Nitro or IV sedation. Prior to BFP I was taking cocodamol, ibuprofen and using Bonjela. Some days the pain is horrendous some days its barely there. Since BFP I've only taken paracetamol for it.

Because of the above, I've been almost constantly on antibs since December 2014.

My throat is now killing, feel like I've smoked 20 fags and I'm so exhausted I can barely stand up. Fortunately DDs 6&4 have been brilliant and have quietly coloured/watched TV/jigsaws etc all week.

I'm also tailing off anti depressants and anxiety meds since the BFP. But due to these, antibs and paras for tooth, I don't want to take anything else for the various ailments however I am struggling to do even the most basic things.

Is there anything natural I can do to boost my system/take the pain off? I take a pregnancy multi vit.

I'm sorry that you're going through such a horrid time. I can't advise anything that you could take, but maybe it might be worth mentioning this to a GP or MW as it seems to be going on for a long time and won't be resolved until August. It's good that they're letting you get to the second trimester before surgery, in one way, so that it can put your mind at rest about it a bit, but at the same time sucks that it's taking so long! I'd definitely ask someone if there's anything else they can do in the meantime, be it from your GP or even a dentist? Good luck!

Make sure you're eating as well as you can at that stage of pregnancy. Natural yoghurt always seems to help improve digestion after antibiotics. Salt water gargles or Oraldene mouthwash are good for dental infections.
Cranberry juice for the UTI?
Hope you feel better soon.
