Currently craving curry - vegetable/chick pea curry to be precise! I want some now but worried it might give me bad indigestion!

I'm craving beef. On Sunday I had the biggest fillet steak I could find. It was amazing! I want another one tonight but having stupid fish instead.

Vinegar for me! When I had my DS it was beetroot in vinegar, this time round it's ketchup ( on everything!). Apparently vinegar helps your body absorb nutrients so I'm guessing I'm actually malnourished!

averagebear - that's a good tip about vinegar I never knew that!

I didn't give in to the curry craving!

Ice cold milk, at least its healthy! Bishop can you have the mint yogurt to offset curry heartburn?

I ate half a jar of jalapenos the other night. Straight out the jar. I played for it last night on the toilet though. It was veeeery stingy

Bishop, do the mint yogurt help? I had a craving at one point for poppadoms and the yogurt. If eating out can always ask for mango lassi, more yum and does same job.

Fresh fruit. Which sounds healthy until you realise you've eaten an entire punnet of nectarines in the space of two hours...

And garlic and herb dib. On everything. but mostly pizza

I've been quite happily scarfing down anything I crave that's not on the banned foods list. It seems to work out fine - if I crave something fatty one day I crave raw veggies the next.

averagebear I am craving vinegar this time round too! I am having it on everything! On Tuesday me and my little boy (He's a bit odd too Grin) sat and ate mint sauce out of the jar with a spoon! Blush
Strawberries with balsamic vinegar on are just the best thing ever!!
Very interesting fact about it helping absorb nutrients. I was initially craving broccoli, spinach, green beans and the like, and found out shortly after I was anaemic. Those cravings have worn off since I started taking iron.

Different craving every day... some days its chicken jalfrezi, some days it's tip tops and the other day DH came home to find me eating through a 1kg jar of beetroot with a fork. Yes I finished it in one sitting. The next three wee's were purple!

Has anybody else just seem to gone off drinking anything??? The thought of fluids makes me feel sick, I have to force myself to drink. Even just a mouthful enough of water to swallow my vitamins makes me gag. I went from 6 cups of tea and 2 bottles of water a day to force feeding myself a mouth full of water here and there. The only thing that helps a little is drinking through a straw? I'm a weirdo aren't I???

Glinda - hope you're OK in this weather. Would ice lollies and the like help you get some more liquid down? I am a six- cuppa a day gal too... God I miss it...

I am craving anything I think of at the time... Fresh oranges, hot buttered crumpets with jam (strawberry, obvs) and cheese to name a few. Oh and all the things I can't have...

Oh Glinda that sounds amazing! I hope my husband wants to go out for a couple of hours tonight so I can eat that on the sly. Blush

I've just done a bit more surfing about information on cravings as I find it really fascinating....for me it's vinegar and sour food, but also oddly, chocolate (thought this was just because I love chocolate, and not pregnancy related one bit!). Found some interesting websites, and apparently it could be magnesium deficiency, as it can cause craves for acidic food and dark chocolate! Also, I suffered with terrible HG in the first trimester with both my boy pregnancies, and apparently HG is linked with magnesium deficiency as well....so there could be some truth in it? Isn't it bloomin' typical that I crave dark chocolate and not green leafy veg though....hence my 2+ stone gained already!
