Personal experience - from about 9weeks 'til just after giving birth. And the "morning" part is laughable.

However - it was worth it!!! Grin

No idea.

It kicked in at 5 weeks and still going strong at 11 weeks. I still haven't been sick but I feel sick all the time.

Mine stopped around 16 weeks, but everyone's different. Some people get it all the way through.

i think everyone is different - mine started at 5weeks... disappeared at 7.. now back (im 9 weeks).
Ive heard of some suffering right up til the end and others it goes by about 12weeks
i agree with the 'morning' part being laughable mind

16 weeks first time, 18 weeks second. But I still get the odd moment at 24 weeks. It is just the odd moment though, and passes very quickly.

It lasted all day for me, just mornings I could have handled, but I was a wreck all day, most days.

I had three incidents of actual vomiting at around 10 weeks and was fine after that. Worked in a demanding job up to birth with no time off. None of those incidents were in the morning for me either!

For me:

First pregnancy- it was at it's peak during weeks 7-28 ish weeks. I then only vomited/felt sick once or twice a day from then until I gave birth. During the birth I was vomiting between every contraction.

This pregnancy- started at around 5-6 weeks but didn't get bad until 7. It's now dying down a bit at 22 weeks but I'm still having a fair few bad days.

There's really no predicting how long it will last.

Very variable I think! First pregnancy I had none. This time round I've had low level nausea from 6 weeks until today (10 weeks). I am hoping that is it for this pregnancy...

I've had it until 11ish weeks, I still get mild nausea on & off (approaching 13 weeks) but not the kind that wakes me at midnight to vomit! It's reflux that's taken over now...

Everyone is different. Mine started at 3.5 weeks. I'm 22 weeks and still puking.

Agree the "morning" part is a con...and the next person who says "still?!" When I'm sick is going to get punched. Or vomited on. Or both.

Everyone is different so don't listen to people telling to it will do at 12 weeks etc- I did and I was so miserable when it was still there till 21 weeks!! Like everyone says it's not just mornings either!!

What I will say though is unless you are one of he unlucky ones who have it all the way through then once it went It feels amazing- for me at least anyways! I'm 32 weeks now and everyone keeps saying 'oh you must be fed up now' or 'you must be uncomfortable' etc but I felt so bad before that now I feel well good so that's a bonus at least!

I'm 9 weeks and mine is slowly dying down. I get days when I can't help but feel sick then there's others when I can go all day and not feel sick once. So its different on each person.

All different, my 1st only really felt sick on a morning but rarely actually sick went away by 10 week ish, 2nd I felt sick all day and night till the very end although stopping being physically sick around 25 week ish, this time sick at least 2-3 times most days, feel sick permanently, no sign of stopping yet, I'm 14 week

DP read somewhere that it 'usually' eases off at around 14 weeks, and keeps reminding me about this lovely little factoid. He's only trying to be positive and supportive, but if he says it again, I will have to vomit in his shoes.

Every pregnancy is different, sorry that's not a good answer, but I think that's the only realistic one. Flowers

In a similar vein, "Well so-and-so wasn't unwell at all!" and "Have you tried ginger biscuits?" are fucking ridiculous not helpful or clever things to say.

I'm 17 weeks and thought I was done but I was sick again today :( first pregnancy it was over by about 14 weeks.

I'm 14 weeks and suffering badly from all day sickness that I've been put on anti-emetics for. From 5 weeks until 13 weeks I only had bad nausea, mainly worse in the evening. I've a feeling this could be in for the long haul. There won't be a second pregnancy!

With DD, from about weeks 6-14.

With DC2, I thought I was done last week but have been feeling dreadful again the last few days. I'm currently 15+4.

I'm 12 weeks tomorrow, everyone has told me it only lasts the first trimester. After reading this I suspect they are lying.

I felt a little smug as I entered my 11th week feeling nothing but a little tired. May have potentially thrown around a couple of comments hinting that people who complained about morning sickness were a bit dramatic.Blush

Karma is a bitch and I learnt my lesson.

From week 11 to the day my DS was born at 40+3 I felt sick every single day. On a good day I was sick once first thing in the morning. On a bad day, like a friend's wedding at 32 weeks, I was sick too many times to count. I was sick all over my dress and had to wash it in the bath of my hotel room and dry it on a heater. Missed the reception and all the speeches.

I used to go absolutely mental if anyone said "have you tried ginger biscuits". Oh really? I've got to 39 weeks and no one has mentioned that old wives tale to me. If only I'd opened a packet of biscuits sooner and not been dicking about with hydration drips and anti sickness tablets .
Biscuit FUCK OFF AND SHOVE YOUR GINGER NUTS UP YOUR ARSE Biscuit
Pregnancy did not suit me. Nearly 14 months later and I still get the rage.

As a side note. If you have 1 day of sickness or 200, it's worth it at the end of it all.

I'm 32 weeks and have had nothing worse than feeling a bit queasy throughout. It's different for everyone .

Different for every pregnancy. First one real bad but switched off overnight at 16 weeks. Second one just the nausea but continued until about 20 weeks.
