Hi all, just wondering if anyone is feeling the same, I'm 21 weeks pregnant and for the last week I have been feeling very lonely and sad, sometimes I wake up in the best mood and ready for the day others I just want to stay in bed! I think it's because I recently left my job so I'm struggling with being on my own during the day and not being in a social environment!

I found pregnancy made me so up and down with hormones. I felt utterly overwhelmed at times for no reason and felt really low and then really high with no trigger x

I'm like this all the time. Down one day and up the next. Some days I'll waste hours lay on my bed watching a box set feeling shitty. Other days I make plans and go out. I have been off work for 10 weeks though so I think that's got a lot to do with it.

A friend said to me just take each day as it comes and do what you want when you feel like it in terms of facing the world or not you won't be pregnant forever and be plagued by these hormones!! Unless you feel as though it may be another issue?

I could have written your post at numerous points during my pregnancy. I sat at my desk on many ocassions sobbing when things got too much, and I worked from home so can relate to your feelings of isolation etc (I'm an army wife and don't know anyone locally which didn't help!). Do you have someone that you can talk to about how you're feeling in person? I found that just talking to my DH about how I was feeling really helped even though there wasn't much he could do - it was just good to vent and have some support. As PPs have said its probably just regular pregnancy hormones to blame as it was in my case, but if you're at all concerned it could be something more have a chat with your midwife or GP.

I also found that getting out of the house just once a week helped enormously - I went to pregnancy yoga locally. Not sure if this is something you've considered or doing already.

I had my little boy 2.5 weeks ago and the hormones are still going crazy, but totally worth it once you have a little bundle of joy in your life Smile

PM me if you ever want to chat xx

Flowers Aww, i too am the same -19 weeks and just getting used to feeling GREAT and not sick...then the hormones wreak havoc with my moods. 2 days ago someone could breathe wrong and i was angry, yesterday i cried at everything. I do sympathise.

I found talking it out on mumsnet here actually really helped Smile. Talk to family and friends too, i hope it eases and enjoy the good days.

Thanks everyone.. Doesn't help that my boyfriend is away for most of the pregnancy! Hmm I've spoke to my mum about it and the midwife has given me some classes to attend, so think I will give that a try! Hopefully start feeling my normal chirpy self in no time at all! X
