Unmistakable labour has started - been up since 3am with pains, they are still irregular and i am able to function in between! but when they strike they are strong and painful and i have to stop what am doing and breathe (30 seconds).....am term plus 12 (its also my daughters 10th birthday!)
Thing is the hospital is 40 mins away and i dont want to leave it too late and be stuck in rush hour traffic so ideally need to leave at 7am at the latest. Not called hospital yet as a bit irregular but still bloody painful. BUt i don't want to be sent away again - my induction is booked for tomorrow anyway.

What would you do? its baby number 4

Ooh exciting! I came help I'm afraid as pregnant with my first so re what would I do? Panic probably!

You really don't want to be sent away but equally things might move fast? Phone and see what they say?

How fast were your previous births? I'd leave by 7 to avoid the traffic problems. You could always walk around the car park for an hour, assuming you will have someone with you of course! Very exciting! Good luck! Enjoy the whole experience if you can! FlowersBrew

I'm guessing you've gone off to hospital to give birth now??Smile
I was going to say that I wouldn't hang around as surely bring your 4th things could suddenly go from "owwww" to "oh there's baby's head!!"

Depends how far apart the contractions are, but no harm in getting checked as 4th ones have a habit of just appearing!

Well on the way to hospital had some very very strong pains, midwife saw me and said yes i think you are in established labour, blood pressure etc checked, did an internal and turns out i am 1cm and the cervix is rally far back :( Then to make t worse all contractions really stopped and slowed right down. We stayed for 2 hours, had a walk around the hospital, checked again and cervix still the same. Came hme had a 2hr sleep - woken again with total of 4 contractions - some more intense than others. Now i keep getting random irregular ones, some mild some very tense where i have to stop everything and breathe through them.
I have indusction booked for 10am tomorrow.
Fingers crossed it bloody hurrys up!
