When is a bump a bump?

I know this might be a weird question but when is it classed as a bump?

I'm only 7 weeks but I already feel like I've got a bump! I've been eating more to keep the sickness at bay but I'm sure it can't be weight gain. Even when I'm lying down now there is a definite rounding of my stomach.

Is it the 'bump' or just putting on weight from eating more?? I know it's really early. Hope it's not twins!!!

It's probably bloating from your bowels, as your womb is still really low down.

Neither, it's bloating and water retention kind of like you get before a period, always happens in the first few weeks. Surprised me the first time too thinking I couldn't be showing already! You won't start getting your true bump until the uterus grows enough to rise higher than the top of your pelvic bone, which happens around 12 weeks.

Congratulations on your pregnancy Smile
