I'm 12 weeks into my third pregnancy - other two ended at 6 weeks Sad I had a reassurance scan at 8 weeks 4 days where there was a bouncing bean and a heart beat. Today I have my 12 weeks dating scan - terrified its died and my body didn't notice. No spotting and morning (all day ) sickness has been constant. Only have til 10.20 to wait but I'm so worried about it! Everyone who knows keeps telling me I will be fine - but honestly I'm so scared of what will happen if it's not Sad

Stay positive - you've had really positive news so far. I can understand why you're nervous after your previous experience but this sounds very different. Do let us know how it goes. Sorry for the quick one - just didn't want to read and run xx

Best of luck. When you've had a miscarriage (or two) it really dampens the excitement as you can't believe it won't happen again.
I didn't relax until I could feel the baby kicking.
Not long to go now.

My first post on mumsnet was almost identical and that was 7 years ago! I was terrified and my cheeky boy is now 6.5 years old. I just wanted to say I'm here and I understand stand your panic. Best of best wishes and I'm thinking positive thoughts for you Flowers

Bless you you're bound to be worried (although I'm sure everything really is ok).
What time is your scan? Try and keep busy until your scan if you can hopefully the day will fly by. Good luck OP

Good luck, once you've seen that heartbeat You can relax & enjoy it.
You get to see the miracle you've made. Your symptoms sound reassuring although Ms is miserable.

Good luck! Keep yourself busy this morning, just don't stop. It'll make the time go quicker and give yourself something to occupy your brain :)

Good luck today and as others have said, try and stay positive, everything sounds in your favour so far and no reason for anything to be wrong. Agree with keeping busy! X

Thank you all for your messages - they have helped the nerves! Been told a full bladder isn't required - which I thought was odd. Wish full I am part of that thread - but find it rather impersonal - due at the moment 2nd week of dec - confirmation today

Hi andi - still do drink some water it will give you clear picture :-) if all goes well I'm due 3rd dec :-)

lots of luck OP! fingers crossed for you, not that I think you'll need it.

the full bladder thing depends on the equipment. a more modern scanner won't need it, or so I was told. but agree, a bit of water in the bladder will make it easier for you to see what is going on.

I was the same as you a couple of months ago at my 12 week scan :) I also had a mmc last year and was convinced it was the same this time around! I am now 23 weeks today and am having a very healthy pregnancy so far. Just because it's happened before doesn't mean it will happen again Flowers

Let us know how it goes x

Pregnancy is always scary after you've had a loss...this one sounds as if it's all going to plan. Good luck today, hopefully this will be one more thing to reassure you that all is well Flowers

Completely understand where you're coming from. I've got my first scan on Monday and I'm terrified of the same thing. I haven't had any other scans either and my symptoms have eased this week which hasn't helped.

I'm just trying to think positive and what will be, will be. Fingers crossed and let us know.
