Depends on area and midwife.

I did at 16 week appointment but understand that lots of them don't do, simply because it can be hard to find and can cause unnecessary panic!

I did but mine was a high risk pregnancy so I think they had to check!

Mine did listen to my babies HB at 15.5 weeks. They just say to you in advance if they can find it then there's nothing they can do as it can get tricky if the baby in an odd position. Def ask x

I've got a really good doppler at home my sister gave me (ex midwife) and I've been listening to the heartbeat since 8 weeks, now 11 weeks and just heard it again about an hour ago. So yes I would have thought you'd definetly be able to hear it, just depends if the baby is too far back, in which case I usually get on all fours for a minute or so and baby usually shifts position

I heard mine at 16 week appointment but I'm guessing every area is different. I'm sure if youve had 12 week scan and everything was ok you could ask her.

I did, but it took the midwife ages to find it. I was starting to feel a bit panicky!

They don't in my area. My midwife did though due to some pregnancy complications I had experienced in the week leading up to that. She took pity on me, however it wouldn't have usually been until my 24 week appt.

changing buy a doppler if you can. I got the angel sounds one for about £20. It arrived today and I have been able to find the heartbeat extremely quickly. I'm 18 + 6 btw!
