I'm 27+5 weeks pg and since 1am Iv been having severe cramps really low down and into my nunny. Really sharp painful cramps. Iv rang the midwife this morning and she advised to take paracetamol and ring back later if they don't go. She asked if baby was moving and I said no and her response was "well it's only morning" my baby usual is really active as soon as I wake up. Im really worried and hurts to even stand up. Any advice please?

I would go to the triage as the pains are affecting your movement

Cramps could be braxton hicks but the movement thing should be checked out. Have a very cold drink or something sugary ( fresh oj) used to get my lo wriggling. Google braxton hicks I had 2 very bad bouts.
If you are worried though just go to the hospital - once when I went for the smallest spot of blood at 25 ish weeks Dr said they prefer to see me than not and also they say just because it's ok once if the same thing happens again not to assume it was ok once and not go.

Iv had a pint of really cold orange juice. This seemed to make him move but only the tiniest bit. He's normally so active and right in the middle of my bump, but this morning he feels really low down and heavy and I can only just about feel his movements which arnt a lot. Iv been giving my stomach a few small prods but still hardly anything.

You're going to worry - there is movement which is good but go to the hospital just turn up. Always better to be safe than sorry.

I would go to the hospital, they're great down there. I went down last week due to some fluid loss, better to be checked over, they will be more than happy to put your mind at ease

I really think you need to go to hospital.
It seems a bit early for braxton hicks in my experience. Go get checked out and put your mind at rest.

Do I go to a&e, or to the antenatal bit?

Just go to a&e they can ring a midwife if needed and get you seen in the ante-natal bit if needed.

Hi Chicken please do go to the hospital it will put your mind at rest no end. Call your midwife back and say that you are on your way so they at least know that you're going and can note it down. I'm a bit shocked that the midwife didn't ask when you normally feel movements instead of "oh it's only morning". In my experience (I ended up rushing there myself last week) they were very reassuring and were more than happy that I had called. Please let us know how you get on. Even if the pains stop I would still go x

you should be able to call your local hospital and be put through to the midwife day unti or maternity triage who will tell you where you need to go

I would head to A&E they can then send you to ante natal if required. Hope you get some reassurance. They were very helpful when I went in for reduced movements.

Yeah everything went fine thanks. Turns out he's just being lazy and wanted a lie in this morning. And must of been sleeping in a dodgy position which was causing pain. Must of been in a really deep sleep as he jumped a mile when the midwife put the gel and Doppler on my stomach! Thanks everyone

Glad all is good with you ... my little lady had a very quiet night and didn't respond to anything until gone 10am today ... was about to ring day unit and she woke up ... They like to keep us on our toes and train us up for what's to come in the way of constant worry lol!!
