Twinkie - you haven't seen me recently - am enormous now!

Coddy, I only do summer babies (DS1 15 July, a week early, DS2 4 August, 6 days late). DH birthday is 7 August.

Codswallop Thu 22-Apr-04 12:30:02

dino are you goingt o join the 3 boys gang?

dinosaur Thu 22-Apr-04 12:32:19

I think so, but DH thinks it's a girlie. The relevant BD was a few days before ovulation, though, which I think is supposed to increase chances of it being a girl.

Codswallop Thu 22-Apr-04 12:33:08

but with two boys already your chances are not even

Codswallop Thu 22-Apr-04 12:33:22

how old are the others?

dinosaur Thu 22-Apr-04 12:35:43

They will be five and three in the summer.

I've been told by someone else that if you have two boys already that means the chances of having a girl are less than 50:50 but I don't really understand how that works?

Codswallop Thu 22-Apr-04 12:48:25

he he you wait....

soupy where are you?

SoupDragon Thu 22-Apr-04 14:00:30

I love bein a (I love being a) I love bein a TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLE!

Apparently if you have 2 children of either sex you have about an 80% (?) chance of having another. I believe it is because you may be genetically more likely to have that particular sex and this therefore skews the statistics. Of course, I am a 3rd child and a sister to 2 brothers so it does happen

Very interesting!

I'm in the lucky position of being genuinely unbothered what sex it is (and I get very fed up with people who refuse to believe that deep down I'm not yearning for a girl!).

I think there's something quite awesome about producing three of the same sex, actually!
