That was a surprise! 2nd at 26 and first at 18 ! I also have had 3 mc. Last one 4 years ago so guess I am v fertile !!! Maybe it's perimenapause? Maybe I'm kidding myself ? I'm terrified I could be p!! Keep thinking don't be so bloody stupid ! ( my OH s opinion ) or I am as I know my own body ! Can't stop hypo ventilating ! Any one else been p at this age ? Time for a test. Do you have one in the house?

There is no reason to feel shame! You need to POAS (pee on a stick)

Thanks:) yes I know I should do a test , think I'm terrified it will say yes!! Il give it a week ? I usually start feeling faint and get nausea at the smell of smoke and cooking meats by 6 weeks ! Let's see how the frying bacon and sniffing the OH goes ... In trouble if if I start running for the loo ! Il keep you posted ! .. Nice to have someone to talk to :)

Waiting a week will do nothing to change the facts. The sooner you know, the sooner you can adjust. Or carry on. Poas asap.

Agreed. If you are pregnant you need to start preparing. Putting off the discovery will only give you less time to make decisions and adjust.

Also we are all nosey and you have ignited our curiosity now and we dont want to wait a week!

Maybe Monday then ! Got to see the mother and oldest daughter tomorrow so if I do it before il be in bits and after il be a nervous wreck before hand ... My daughter even waited till her 12 week scan then sent me the photo as means of telling me ! Think she will pass out if I do the same .. And my mum will be in shock and totally confused ...;)

Could be menopause symptoms.

A week Shock

Don't be so cruel this isn't about you anymore you know!

In all seriousness though would it be an ok thing or a disaster? Hope you are ok x

Hope so ! Really at this present time menopause would be more welcome , been reading about it but it's so out of the blue as normally like clockwork , a friend of mine did recently miss a period and did 7 tests in panic but negative and doc said the start of menopause , but I fall pregnant so easily ! Last time I think we only did the deed once and with a condom, sorry if that's TMI ! Tbh it's the same this time ! Long odds for anyone never mind an old crock like me ;) oh well watch this space....

Softly .. It would be a total disaster :( OH in poor health , been on sick for ages but had to go back Part time , we are over a grand a month down and at risk of losing house and forced to take out an IVA :( so throw a baby in the mix and I can't imagine ..

Ok then I'm hoping for a negative for you. And tbh you really should check so if you decide to terminate you are early doors so it's easier.

Good luck x

I agree with softly. .the sooner the better, that way you have more time to think through your options and decide what you want.

Report
squeezycheesy · 31/01/2015 23:27

Agree with all the others - surely, it would be better to know? Tests are so cheap now, and if you're terrified and hyperventilating, delaying it won't help matters in any way.

I know lots of women who have been pregnant in their late 40s, so it could be a positive, but if that would be a 'total disaster' as you say, you need to start thinking about your options.

Thanks ... So nearly bought a test on the way home from work but was with OH and he just thinks I'm bonkers ! So I didnt :( still no period or even a touch of spotting , got niggly pains , shArpe than period pain and just a heavy feeling ? Half day tomorrow so get one then . Tbh if I am I doubt it would be viable given my history , last mc when I was 45 at 8 weeks , sorry to keep u waiting !

I really can't understand why you wouldn't. For a pound, you could know - and surely he'll have to one way or another?
