I am due 4 weeks before my wedding. I have thought a lot about what dress to get with bf etc but need to order it 6 months ahead. My question is what size? I read somewhere to get measured at 4 months for your postpartum size. Is this in anyway accurate? Im goig for a lace up dress which I am having zips put in for easy access so I will have a bit of room to play with.... help!

I am not sure it will be possible to know. I'm two week pp and I'm probably a size 14 - was a size 8. My boobs were 32c and are now 32f. So lots of stretch and lace up crucial!

Sorry, should have said. At four months I was probably a size ten and my boobs didn't burst out until I had given birth.

I think it varies massively from person to person. I was back in my normal clothes less than 2 weeks after giving birth - back to my normal size apart from bigger boobs.

I'd go up a few sizes as easier to take in than let out. You're so very brave! I'm a bridesmaid 12 weeks after & panicking Confused so much so I've bought 2 of the dresses one in 1 size up & another in 4 sizes up which I refer to as my moving mountain dress

I'm Maid of Honour four to six weeks after and got a dress at the weekend, am currently 23 weeks and had to go up to a 12 for boobs, figured that even if I drop a load of weight the boobs will still be the issue and can get the dress taken in in other places. Don't go up too many sizes as wedding dresses can sometimes only be taken in a couple of sizes max dependent on tbe detail on the dress... as over alteration can completely alter the look of the dress. Corset style back instead of zip would allow for a little extra room.

Just make sure you discuss it with the dress shop and choose something that can take a good amount of alterations if needed

DS1 is now 5 months and I'm almost back into normal wardrobe (size 10) but some of my skinny jeans don't fit as my hips have widened a bit. I bf for 4 months and I did find that my belly deflated quite quickly but hips and boobs a lot bigger. At 4 mths pregnant I hadn't changed much though so not sure if that's accurate. It us so different for everyone but even if your tummy flattens quickly you will probably have bigger boobs and hips than at 4 mths pregnant...just have someone on standby to do last minute adjustments!
