...but someone at work mentioned it. Is it safe to drink tap water during pregnancy?

Yes

AuntieStella Mon 26-Jan-15 19:05:15

What country are you in?

pinkie87 Mon 26-Jan-15 19:05:18

I bloody hope so!! Yes it's fine.

Purplehonesty Mon 26-Jan-15 19:11:23

In the uk yes. Not on holiday tho

sianihedgehog Mon 26-Jan-15 19:14:09

Absolutely yes. Your tap water in the UK is actually subject to more stringent regulations and more testing than the bottled water you can buy in the UK.

geekymommy Mon 26-Jan-15 19:15:19

If it's safe to drink when you're not pregnant, it is.

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom Mon 26-Jan-15 19:21:35

Are you in the UK? Were they really suggesting all pregnant women should live on bottled water? What utter rot.

fattymcfatfat Mon 26-Jan-15 19:21:41

Yes!

PenguinTuxedo Mon 26-Jan-15 20:22:12

Yup, in the UK. Googled it and it came up with a dailyfail link that I wasn't gonna read, so thought I'd ask sensible people on here!

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom Mon 26-Jan-15 20:40:54

What did your colleague actually suggest you do?
