Can anyone help?! I'm 18 weeks this Friday. Therefore only have 18 weeks left of pregnancy. At first I gained a fair bit of weight going from a size 10 to a 16, now I'm back in 12-14 clothes and there's not much of me. I've not been watching what I'm eating too much nor been so ill with morning sickness So I don't know why I'm not showing. I go for scans every 2 weeks and babies are growing nicely, very healthy and I can feel babies moving around but everyone comments on how small I am and am I sure there's 2 in there? Not looking pregnant anymore is making me a bit down aswell as peoples comments.

You're growing two babies - they'll be taking their nutrition from the food you eat. My twin bump was never huge, didn't particularly look like it was twins. I actually weighed less just after they were delivered than before I got pregnant - apart from losing the booze calories, a lot of it went just on growing them.

Don't worry - for some reason people seem to find it necessary to make all sorts of ridiculous comments during pregnancy.

You really need to try and ignore people and their stupid comments. Unfortunately, the fact that you are pregnant means that the world and his wife will see fit to comment on the largeness /smallness of your bump (and many many other things besides). If your scans are fine, and you are well, then don't worry about it. Your body is obviously adapting nicely to pregnancy, and the bump will appear soon enough. Some people just have small bumps, others are enormous from very early on. It's the luck of the draw. Enjoy it while it lasts!

I know, perhaps I'll go big in a couple of months but it's what people say that does my head in. I'd like a bit of a bump now though tbf. My main priority are my babies are healthy and well but I get comments all the time and the "are you sure there are two in there" comments get to me because I've had a few scares during early pregnancy.

Some people are just idiots. They see pregnancy as an excuse to criticise how big/small you are, if you eat too much or not enough. You can never do anything right as someone will always stick their nose in. Your babies are healthy and happy and probably taking alk of your nutrition! My mum lost weight when pg with me and I wasnt exactly small! 8lb 10oz and my mum is only tiny si for her I was huge! Even mw was worried about it but I was and am happy and healthy. Goodluck and ccongratulations on your babies!

Thankyou, you're right. They are healthy and even if I am a bit smaller they're clearly doing well. People should learn not to comment but perhaps I need to stop being sensitive too. Can't wait to have them here Grin

Please dont worry bump will come in good time, I havnt had twins but im currently 24weeks with ds4 I never really show well to the very end and im quite small 6-8 usually. Ds2 I lost weight and barely had a bump at all, 35 weeks I was teeny it only seemed to pop out few days before birth... I kept getting comments like omg that babys going to be so small, he was actually born weighing 9ib :) which isnt big big, but for my bump size and frame it was a shock. Now with ds4 there isnt much there I only told my family I was pregnant 5 days ago and nobody had a clue. As long as the babies are doing good just ignore peoples comments. Congrats on your twins :) x
