Well, my cousin is due in June. She came out of six month relationship and fell straight into a 'relationship' with a real dud! She was out of work but looking seriously and now she is pregnant, the dad is not really interested at all and is not going to be supportive, it seems. He missed her first scan and is basically giving her the impression she'll be going it alone.
Her mum, who she lives with, has other children, is a single mum struggling to work and keep things afloat after her partner passed a couple of years ago. It's going to be a tight squeeze in their house and money is going to be even tighter.
Is there any kind of help my cousin can get? Anything she can apply for? I don't think she has any real understanding of how hard it's going to be...and, since she found out she's having a baby, her so-called friends have all but deserted her. She's struggling with low mood now, so I'm worried about how she'll cope, even with the help and support of her mum and other family.
Thanks.
