When does the bump start to show-just out of interest!:)

Firstly, congratulations! Everyone is different in afraid. If its ur first and ur fairly slim then u wont show probably until ur 4 or 5 months. I'm 13 weeks with dc3 and still not showing although I have been very sick. I'm hoping to show soon though.

I'm a first timer & really popped about 22 weeks as in I didn't get any comments from family or friends until then, but I was wearing mat jeans from about 14 weeks as couldn't bear anything too tight on my tummy

I'm 15 weeks and the folk at work say I'm showing now. I'm a size 10. Apparently the bigger you are the later you show (at least that's what the women who sits next to me says).

It was about 8 weeks for me (both times) though if it shows that early it can be just bloating. But I went on to have enormous bumps. By three months people were asking me if it was twins!

By contrast when one friend was 7 months pregnant you still couldn't tell! It's massively variable.

Thank you! I'm not slim, too much I think! It is my first :) probably why I'm feeling a little impatient! I have been realy sick in the morning and when I go to bed at night time too! Congratulations to you too :)

(Oh and I'm not skinny or petite - a tall size 14 so I'm not sure about the size theory. It may also depend on how you put weight on - some people gain weight all over, while I stayed the same everywhere else and just grew a huge bump)

I was a good 22 weeks before I popped, until then my bump just looked like a very bloated stomach.

There is an unfortunate stage between flat and bump which looks like you've eaten too many pies your waist thickens, your lower tummy begins to stretch a bit, trousers become difficult but not impossible to do up, tops look uncomfortably tight. You dont fit maternity wear yet and you really feel crap in your normal clothes (sorry). For me that was between 12 and 25 weeks with dc1 and bump visible to others around week 22 and between about 10 and 18 for dc2with bump visible to others around 17 weeks.

It can take a while during the first pregnancy. I got a proper bump around 5 months in my first pregnancy. With the second I was a size bigger (from a 12 to a 14) and it took less time for my clothes to fit snugly, but longer for me to grow a proper bump.

How long is a piece of string? Everyone's different. First time around I was noticeably pregnant at around 18 weeks, and by 24 weeks I was HUGE.

I started looking err.... Chubby at about 18 weeks but I really did look like I had just had one too many pies!! I really started popping from about 26 weeks....im quite short and a size 14-16 so I'm not slim generally! ??

I'm 5' 7'' and a size 12. It took me to 24 weeks though like pp said I got into looser clothes well before that as didn't like tightness on me (and usually wear quite fitted clothes).

I wish someone had told me how long it would be as I tried to see one when it wasn't there and maybe jumped the gun a bit on loose clothes which now I wish I hadnMt been so quick into - so bored of my limited loose wardrobe.

I popped a small bump around 17 weeks and then its grown steadily since then. Am quite short and always been fairly petite so am hoping thats why it looks massive at just 21 weeks lol but I do know that she sits right at the front of my uterus mostly, so very up front

I'm 5'8 and was a size 12 when pregnant with DC1. He was very 'deep' in my tummy (there's probably a proper term for that!) and I didn't really get any kind of bump until about 23 weeks. At 29 weeks I was a bit worried as I still didn't really have any bump to speak of. At 32 weeks my tummy popped! It was a lovely pregnancy. Even at 40 weeks you couldn't tell I was pregnant from behind. sigh.

With dc2 I was showing at 12 weeks and was absolutely massive soon after. Only 1 year between pregnancies and nowhere near enough sit ups meant my stomach muscles just have up!

Congratulations! Remember the baby is tiiiiiiiiny right now so any bump will more than likely be bloating and fluids. I'm 10+5 and have a bloated bump as I call it lol. With my first I showed from about 24 weeks

Well I'll be 26 weeks at the end of the week with my second and although I occasionally feel like wearing maternity trousers (particularly jeans as more comfortable) I still fit fine in my size 12 ordinary trousers too. I don't have a bump per say although I can tell my body is starting to change shape a bit. No one could know I'm pregnant yet unless they know me well enough to know I've not just put on a bit a weight. I took a 'bump picture' during my first pregnancy and the first one where there is a noticeable weight change is at week 28. By 30 week I had an actual baby bump (smallish still but obviously pregnant). I guess it's just how I carry my babies, I can feel this ones feet/or hands right in my lower ribs so he isn't small or anything.

Everyones different so no way of saying really.
I am quite slim (well usually) size 6-8 with a height of 5'6. Im 22wk with ds4 and no proper bump I just look like ive gained abit of weight over the festive period lol. Most of my family still dont know including my dad and no one has noticed. Its been sane with all of mine apart from ds1 where I had a very rounded tum from 5wk which was obviously just bloating because by 42wk bump was teeny.
