Pregnancy

Bleeding and cramping, 7 weeks

Hi,

7 weeks pg and have an early scan booked this week at EPAS due to losing twins at 22 weeks, a few months ago.

Today woke early with brown discharge which turned to red blood later in afternoon. Dull ache in lower back was followed up with cramping in lower abdomen a couple of hours after the red blood started (very light flow). Cramps now come in waves, sharp pain at their peak, constant dull crampy pain the rest of the time. Dragging feeling in inner thighs, some very tiny clots in the blood. All in all it feels like the beginning of a heavy period.

I went to out of hours GP tonight (had phoned NHS for advice and was sent there) and there's nothing wrong with ME but there are no scanning facilities there. I am to call EPAS and arrange a scan for tomorrow - it opens at 8.45am.

Am I losing this baby? I'm still grieving the other two and frankly, I'm exhausted by grief and my own relentless, useless hope.
