Whoemeal toast and a Clementine for brekky today. Lunch was a cheese, ham and pickle foccacia and salad (pretty much eat this every day as crave cheese and pickle) fat free yogurt and wotsits. Just had a small handful of macadamia nuts. Tea will be Sausages, mash, veg and onion gravy. First day of mat leave which means I can eat at normal sensible times. Hoping little and often will help with the heartburn. Need shares in Gaviscon.

I have hyperemesis and so food was off the cards until about 3 weeks ago. I got about 6 vomit free weeks in my last pregnancy then it all started again so I'm hoping the same doesn't happen this time. Anyway so I've been enjoying being able to eat without vomiting everywhere.. Today's diet was:

Wholemeal toast with butter and marmite
Banana
Yoghurt
Warbutons sandwich thin with ham, cheese and mustard
2 chocolate digestives with my cuppa
Sausage, mash and beans

Now I feel very sick and will do until I can take another anti sickness tablet (not due one til bedtime) however I am determined to make the most of being able to eat before I start with the sickness again!

I've just started a pregnancy health kick after completely going off the wagon with excessive carbs/crap during 1st trimester sickness and then christmas. Today I've had porridge with apples and sultanas, ham and cheese salad with lots of pickly things, salmon and noodle stir fry. And I've snacked on grapes and yogurts.
So much better than the last few weeks!

Toasted bagel
Oj
4 squares White chocolate

Toast
More toast
Cheese, coleslaw and salami sandwich
More chocolate
Kids leftovers from dinner
Massive bowl of pasta

Eating is the only thing keeping the sickness at bay (8 weeks)

At least this time I am not (yet!) actually puking. Last time (twins) was truly awful

21 weeks

2 Weetabix and some sliced banana
Coffee in the car on the way to work
Yoghurt mid morning
Chicken salad for lunch
Satsuma and some nuts mid-afternoon with a cup of tea
Spaghetti and meatballs for dinner
Ice lolly Grin

Pretty typical for the whole pregnancy so far - I thankfully didn't have morning sickness

Food is definitely helping me to keep nausea at bay, but my kids were back at school today and I was so much more unprepared than I realised! The older two go to a french school so have to leave at 8am, but dd2 is in junior kindergarten and we didn't get there until almost 9:30. As I had a midwife's appointment at 10 I didn't manage breakfast, so today I've had;

  • Cup of awful tea from a coffee shop (Canadians don't know proper tea it seems)
  • Two small grilled beef tortilla wraps with guacamole and homemade tortilla chips from this delish Mexican place
  • sweet and salty peanut butter granola bar
  • small bunch of grapes
  • cheese rice cake

It's not dinner time over here yet, but I'll be having thai basil chicken and veg stir fry with jasmine rice. I'll prob snack on something else after too Blush

I only seem to have gained .6lbs since my last midwife appointment in early December though so I'm not concerned. I just eat as I need to and whatever won't make me gag.
