ARGHH!!! I've been lay in bed for about 2 hours now and just can't get comfy. Thrown myself around, spinning, turning, flipping, bloody everything and I'm just so god damn restless!!! Angry I'm only 21 weeks pg so not that big and can usually get comfy straight away. I actually feel like crying! Somebody please tell me this isn't going to start becoming a regular thing?!

I can't tell you that... but I recommend lots of pillows!

30 weeks with DD2 and feeling pretty uncomfortable at night. It started about 20 weeks, I try different pillows under bump, between legs etc and try to deep breathe into it. I'm pretty big though (measuring large) so that doesn't help. Sometimes I just get up if I can't get to sleep, however some days (nights) I don't feel so bad. I know this isn't terrible comforting, especially only half way through, but it isn't unusual. Hope you get to sleep soon.

I posted about this earlier too. Doesn't matter what I do today, just feel so uncomfortable. Even my full length maternity pillow isn't helping. 18weeks. Urgh

Have you had your iron levels checked?
I was put on iron tablets 3 weeks ago at 28 weeks due to low levels, I'd been tired and having funny turns and thought they were the only symptoms but I was also unable to get to sleep even though my bump wasn't uncomfortable and like you was tossing and turning and getting so wound up, my stomach would churn and my legs twitch, it was awful.
The last week or so I'm suddenly back to being able to sleep and sleeping well so I Googled low iron and insomnia and turns out they're linked.
Maybe try supplements for a couple of weeks and see if you notice any difference.

Me Sad I don't know how my partner is getting any sleep - I'm rolling over every five minutes. My hips hurt, my knees hurt, I can't get comfortable at all.

Dogsmom - it could be to do with my iron thinking about it. My mum is anaemic and had problems with iron in all 3 of her pregnancies. I do have dizzy spells throughout the day too. I'll have to get it checked. Thanks.

Me too! I am using a memory foam pillow between my legs which helps. Am fine once I get to sleep but does involve a lot of huffing, puffing, tossing and turning. I am 23 weeks.

I think I'm a bit anaemic judging by my blood results lately. Too much bacon and not enough spinach. Can sleep fine but man I'm fed up of weeing every few hours!! I've kicked the dog off the bed tonight so hope that helps. Was planning on early night then godfather 2 started......

Are you having a bump growth spurt? I get this for about 3 day stints and could cry whilst going through in. Now I'm 32 weeks and it's becoming constant :(
