Hello all, has anyone else been experiencing this? I'm 14 weeks and for the past few weeks I've been getting a sharp stabbing pain in the glutes! Particularly on the right hand side, it's worst when I stand up from sitting on the sofa but also appears at random times of the day. It's really bad today, and I'm worried that this could be because I did an exercise class this morning. Dr Google suggests that the could be the start of SPD / PGP and if this is the case, it's likely to get worse and the pain could spread go the front of my pelvis and hips too.
I'm planning to call my midwife about it on Monday and I can self refer to physio in my area so I will do that too.
Does anyone have any experience of this and what I might be able to do to treat it or prevent it getting worse? If the pain is brought on by exercise does this mean I shouldn't be exercising? On the other hand, exercise is supposed to help prevent pregnancy aches and pains. Has anyone seen an NHS physio and are they helpful?
I'd like to hear from anyone who has had similar symptoms so I can have an idea of what I should expect to happen next.
