Pain in the bum!

Hello all, has anyone else been experiencing this? I'm 14 weeks and for the past few weeks I've been getting a sharp stabbing pain in the glutes! Particularly on the right hand side, it's worst when I stand up from sitting on the sofa but also appears at random times of the day. It's really bad today, and I'm worried that this could be because I did an exercise class this morning. Dr Google suggests that the could be the start of SPD / PGP and if this is the case, it's likely to get worse and the pain could spread go the front of my pelvis and hips too.
I'm planning to call my midwife about it on Monday and I can self refer to physio in my area so I will do that too.
Does anyone have any experience of this and what I might be able to do to treat it or prevent it getting worse? If the pain is brought on by exercise does this mean I shouldn't be exercising? On the other hand, exercise is supposed to help prevent pregnancy aches and pains. Has anyone seen an NHS physio and are they helpful?
I'd like to hear from anyone who has had similar symptoms so I can have an idea of what I should expect to happen next.

Hi I'm 13 & 3 and I have a similar pain but more by my tailbone. It's like I've sat down on a hard chair too long. Xx

Did the support belt help mumtobe? And was physio any use? I'm hoping that if I do something about it before it gets to bad I might be able to prevent it, but don't know if that's realistic.

I'm 37 +5 days and when I got to 28 weeks oregnant I developed lower back pain and pain in right buttock to the point it would stop me in my tracks walking or sitting for too long etc. Midwife referred me to physio who said it was sciatica (can't remember the type) but they did some exercises and saw me weekly and eventually it did ease. Baby was also back to back at that point which could have been contributing. On days that I could stick it I would bounce on my birthing ball or use it to rock on all fours. It did get better so do hang in there.

I'm 21 weeks and had exactly the same pain in my bum, right side, since about week 17. It was definitely a lot worse if I had been on my feet a lot or commuted into London on the train. I bought a support pillow last week to put between my legs at night and the pain in my bum has completely gone but now I have pain at the front on my pelvis, public bone and groin. Feels like someone has hit me in between the legs with a baseball bat Shock now walking like John Wayne.
Don't know if this is because of the pillow or if it was something that was going to happen anyway. Is there anything I can do to help? Exercise like yoga seems to make it worse, but should I persevere?
