Hi,

I'm 34 weeks today just had a scan and the baby is breech has anyone got any experiences of this? Has the baby turned or did you eventually have a section?

My DS was breech. He didn't turn himself and I was booked in to have him turned but went into labour early at 38 weeks. So I ended up having a section. Which was absolutely fine and although classed as an emergency one because I was in labour it really was a very calm experience.

Am now 35 weeks with dc2 who is also breech! So will just have to see what happens but I'm happy to have another section if I have to.

34 weeks is still quite early. Dd was breech until about 38 weeks and turned herself.

My baby was breech at 31 weeks when I had a growth scan. At some point between then and 36 weeks the baby turned and has been head down ever since.

I took advice from a website called spinning babies and some you tube videos. I really worked on my posture, trying to stand/sit up straight with my legs wide apart (attractive!) to open up my pelvis, sitting on a dining chair the opposite way round which encourages you to lean forwards and spent a few evenings crawling around on all fours. There's a technique on the spinning babies website too which involves you hanging off your sofa upside down. I have no idea if any of these worked or if the baby just turned on their own but it might be worth a shot? Don't worry, there's still plenty of time for your baby to turn!

My DD was breech until 37 + 6 when she turned whilst I was sat in the cinema having just had a curry.
Beware though late turning babies have too much space and then can get up to other shenanigans - ultimately she went for a lateral oblique presentation that has all it's own problems.
