32 weeks, so uncomfortable!

Currently sitting on the sofa on top of two cushions, leaning forward onto three cushions balanced on my gym ball, with hot cherry stone bag strapped to my lower back with a blanket, was comfy for a few minutes but now need to move again!

Have tried every seat in the living room, ball bouncing, walking around, lying on my left, sitting on the ball and leaning forward onto the arm on the sofa, I can't keep still, my back aches and my bump feels really tight and achey. I'm only four foot eleven and have had back pain for weeks now, does any one have ideas of positions I could try? Just trying to enjoy my Gilmore girls binge on Netflix! Also I have a tens machine which is amazing but I'm not using because I've read it can start contractions, does any one have experience? I'm so tempted to stick it on low for a little while on my lower back, any advice appreciated, thanks!

Watching for replies with interest. I'm a week ahead & not much taller and suffering from bum/leg under ribs.

Only thing ive found to help is getting on all fours & moving around to get bump to move position.

Where is your placenta?

33+4 here and although I can't offer any advice I too seem to be living a life of one uncomfortable position after another Sad

I do find all fours helps relief some of the weight from bump, but then I have to figure out how I'm getting up again! Sleep is very elusive as the hip pain is almost constant, the only relief I get is laying on my back for a few minutes before I start feeling dizzy and sick.

At least DH is being an absolute diamond and pretty much doing everything that needs to be done. Grin

Not long until babies will be making appearances though, ladies!

You might be better with an ice pack. Pregnancy hormones relax the ligaments and the physio told me to use cold to ease discomfort.

I know that bum under the ribs feeling! I do wonder how on earth I'm going to make it through the last few weeks, I have a feeling I'm going to be a bit of a monsterConfused DP is being very sympathetic and microwaving my heat pack for me, and making all the right noises for the time being though.

I have an anterior placenta, does it make a difference?

DP has just put an ice pack in the freezer for me, thanks for the tip!

The reason I asked about location of placenta, it cushions things...maybe that's why its bad for your poor back. I'm posterior so all my pains aimed at ribs.

I can't wait to have baby, 7weeks seems like torture!!

Another uncomfortable mummy to be here, 33+1 and so fidgety this evening. Baby won't keep still either. I have a lovely hot bath every evening but can't lay back n relax for too long as baby suffocates me. Everything is an effort lately. I just want to lay in bed all day, no such luck with 4 other kiddies to look after! Lots of Braxton Hicks lately too which r very strong. I don't look forward to bedtime anymore, as that is just becoming very uncomfortable no matter how I lie, I have a Dream Genii pillow but that's crap, I use it for my back whilst sitting on Sofa. Roll on next few wks ladies and our lovely lil bundles will be in our arms. Smile

I'm 34 weeks on Tuesday and literally going crazy now. Every day I find it harder and harder. I'm 5'3 and petite so all bump, my muscles on my back at times feel like they are being torn apart. I couldn't sit at the dinner table for any longer then 20 minutes which wasn't nice overt Xmas. So I looked on amazon and found a heat pack which you stick in the microwave and it kind of velcros around you. It's helped hugely! I actually managed to sit still for 2-3 hours today which is so nice! I would highly recommend it!

Sleeping at night is becoming impossible now. I can't get comfortable and also seem to be awake for 2-3 hours every night.

I have 6 weeks until my due date and poss another 2 weeks on top of that. I honestly don't know how I will get through the next few weeks ConfusedConfused so totally sympathise with you all!! x

I am 32 weeks and my back was aching really bad at about 20.

My DP got my a 6th long pillow which I can wrap around me to support front and back and it has helped so much! would definitely recommend trying one if you haven't.

Think it was only £20 from eBay!

34 weeks here and completely empathise. Currently sharing a bed with DH and DS (and the dog if she's inclined) at a relative's for Christmas and it is AWFUL.

I'm 35 weeks with DC3 but mine are big so it's around 6-7lbs by now (I'm 5ft 3 so not s lot of space!). I cannot get comfy at all anymore. Had to pack away my gym ball as my kids thought it was a toy and nearly killed themselves on it but before that I used to sit on the floor leaning my arms up on the ball and leaning forward. That was comfy-ish.
