Can I take senokot when I'm pregnant? Really need something to help, not been for 4 days ConfusedConfused

Not sure about senokot but you can take lactalose

No, you can't take any stimulant laxatives, such as senna, because there's a risk that your cramping guts can bring on contractions.

Stool softeners like Lactulose (for mild constipation) and Movicol (for bad constipation) are fine. As are glycerine suppositories for total blockages Wink

I have been having three figs with the skin on every evening and its working fairly well, plus drinking warm water as your body absorbs warm water better and it helps to get things moving, prunes are good although they don't agree with me
