Transverse baby at 33wks - any tips for turning?

I've just been to see the midwife and the baby is currently transverse - head on right hand side, bum on left. This is my second baby, and I'm 33+4. I know there is plenty time for the baby to turn, and that second babies tend not to engage until later, but does anyone have suggestions or tips on how to encourage the baby to get head down?

I've read on a "spinning babies" website that I can get down on all fours with bum in air and that can help. However, I'm really struggling with chronic heartburn so that move isn't my favourite... The same website also suggested shining a torch up myself (all night long) to get the baby to head for the light. Or getting someone to shout up a cardboard tube up my...tube. I don't think that website was a spoof... I may yet resort to the torch trick...

But any other suggestions?
Thank you!

Get bouncing on a gym ball, the all fours thing works really well if you can stand it ( rock backwards and forwards).

Make sure to always sit with your knees lower than your hips (so basically don't lean back all comfy on the sofa...). Keep walking as much as possible.

I second the gym ball. My baby was breech oblique at 31, and I did the headstand thing on the spinning babies website sporadically and sat on my gym ball, and it had turned by 36wks.

Great, thank you. I need to get a gym ball and power up with gaviscon before trying the all fours/head standing thing on spinning babies. Will also stop lazing about on the settee - it has helped take pressure off my pelvis and I've been able to feel the baby move brilliantly, but it may not be helping getting the head down!

Thanks for suggestions!
