Question about dates and changing EDD

OK so I have a question on dates...

I had a scan at the EPU today where I was put a full week ahead of my current EDD.

My cycles are always 31 days plus 2days of spotting before. So by my calculation I put myself with an EDD of 11-13th July, whereas because the NHS go on an average 28day cycle they originally had dated me at 8th July.

This is my 3rd scan (due to illness), I had one at 6wks (by my count) where they dated me at about 5+5, then at my second scan at 8wks she agreed I was 8wks almost on the dot, again meaning my calculations were correct. However this scan today should have shown me at 11wks, but she put me at 12wks. This puts me at a 26day cycle, which I have NEVER had. She said they'll confirm for sure at my dating scan next week, but she did re-measure a few times after baby had re-adjusted, and it roughly came out the same each time.

Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be that I ovulated alot earlier than usual or something? I was using the CB Ovulation tests, and even by those I should be 11wks right now.

This is not an exact science I had several early scans every one of them put me at edd may 7th, my calculations should have me at edd may 5th but then 2 weeks later at my dating scan they gave me my official dye date of May 2nd, the at 20 week scan they said I was measuring small according to my dates. I really wouldn't
worry about it, babies never turn up on time and only 7% turn up on their due date! IMO it's just a way to make sure your appointments are scheduled at roughly the right times! Congrats btw!

Mine was moved back by 2 and a bit weeks. Now baby's measuring a bit big..!

I've just decided that so long as baby arrives some time in February or by the first week in March I'll be comfortable with that. We'll aim to have everything ready by the end of January. EDD 21st Feb.

Wow, I didn't realise it could vary so much! I just assumed that the "due" date could change by a day or two, but not by weeks everytime.

I know I myself was due on Christmas day and was born Nov 6th - So completely appreciate that majority of babies aren't actually born on their due date, and could come at any time over a few week period, but it would still be nice to know how far along I am in order to plan "roughly".

Not long ago I saw someone put they was dated 9wk and a few days on a scan n then almost 3wk later go back for their 12wk scan and she was infact put back to 10 and half weeks. Mine have always been behind early on.
