Hello ladies,

Just wondering if anyone else has a wave of sickness when they open the fridge door or has gone off things they use to love? I literally cannot stomach tea, coffee or much at the moment. Even the smell of things tip me over the edge at the minute. I just keep gagging! I am 9+5 now...Does this feeling go soon or is it going to stick around for the foreseeable future?

Ta xx

Yep I had the same. At just the same time as your sense of smell becomes more enhanced, smells start to make you feel sick! Great eh!

I had it when I walked into the staff restaurant at breakfast time. The smell of greasy bacon was overwhelming and horrid.

It does pass though - give it a few weeks and you will start having more good days than bad days and then it passes altogether.

Oh man, I remember smelling people on the bus.

Not too long now and it should start to ease. I didn't touch coffee all the way through both pregnancies though

Had to get off the bus to be sick on Wednesday as the driver had had a cigarette at a previous stop (where he had to wait) and as soon as he got back on the smell hit me. :(

Me! Can't stand smell of chicken or beef.

I don't drink coffee anyway but if you were to offer me tea? Why no thank you. Just don't want it. And I'm a tea Jenny as well. I luv a cuppa. But it's a waste just now.

Oh and as for the fridge. I've come to realise it's the parmesan cheese that I'm smelling. It's gross!! Have to hold my nose every time I open the fridge!

Glad I'm not the only one...! Thanks all. Xx

My goody cupboard is literally rammed full where I just can't touch any of it. Suppose that's not such a bad thing.

Jennyblue I'm the same my DP smokes and I won't let him near me at the minute cos the smell is just vile. Weird as I used to be a smoker!

Today has been a good day though for everything so far - no gagging! Wop!

Yep! Not actually been sick yet at only 6+4 but my fridge stinks and dh swears it doesn't! I had him clean it out and I can still smell something awful! Have to keep blowing out scented candles and turning off plug ins! Even ate my tuna mayo sandwiches at work the other day without issue then went to the loo and walked back in the staff room smelt the lingering whiff of tuna and gagged horrifically! How does this work!? Hmm

When I was pregnant with DS I couldn't stomach the smell of fried eggs or burgers. And I could tell when someone who sat 4 banks of desks away came back from his smoke break without even looking up cos I could smell the smoke on him. Thankfully it didn't last too long!

With DD I hated the smell of coffee. With DS it was garlic.

I know what you mean Lilydreams the air fresher in my downstairs loo is awful! I won't pee in that loo now ha!

Peedie I walked past a burger van other day and it was just horrendous. I'm dreading Christmas dinner - hope I can tolerate food a bit more by then.
