Pregnancy

Can anyone shed any light on my pregnancy dates?

I had a positive hpt on 3rd Nov, which was the day after my period was due.
I have 35 day cycles so my lmp was 27th September, but if you adjust for the extra week, then 0 weeks would be 4th October, and the day I got my bfp I would have been 4 weeks pregnant.
I had an early scan at what I thought was 7 weeks, there was a heartbeat but the sac measured 5+2. I was worried that this was too small for dates, and 8 days later I had another scan, the embryo measured 7+1 which is better but still short of where I should be, I think. The mw seemed to think this was in line with dates but I just don't get it...!

I think this is the very reason you dont get your first 'normal' scan until 12-14weeks as it is the most accurate dating time. I had an emergency scan at what i thought i should be near 8 weeks but i was actually measuring at 6wks5days and had another 3 weeks later where going off my first scan i should have been just over 9weeks, baby was measuring 10wks3days!!! This catches me up to where I initially thought i should have been. I have my 'proper' dating scan this monday and according to previous scans i should be exactly 13wks but we will see. Such a lot is going on in the first trimester and I think it is just the simple point of 'we are all different'. I measured big with my Son and he came out at 6lb11, so not big at all, and measured very small with my daughter and she came out 5lb. So aslong as your pregnancy is progressing nicely i wouldnt worry. Good luck

I would just wait for your 12 week scan . I had an early scan at 7wks and 1 day and the sonographer said I was only measuring 6 weeks ! So when we finally had our dating scan we were a full week +2 days in front of the date from the early scan ! So baby had caught up . Try not to worry . x

So does that make your last scan 6 days out?
Even with ivf my scan 7+1 baby measured 6+6. Date of conception 20th october. Positive result also 3/11. And with this there is no waiting for the sperm to turn up (up to a day later) and no travelling down tubes.
I think you can get a bfp from 8dpo.
I didnt do test until 14dpo

Thanks for the replies.

Naty I would have thought I was 8+3 at the last scan, so even allowing for a couple of days error it was a week or 8 days out.

I'm anxious because I've also had spotting and this is how my losses started; spotting and slow growth picked up on scans.

At that point a mm can make a difference so if the sonographer put the cursor in a slightly different position you can loose or gain days.

The important thing in the early scans is seeing a heartbeat from around 6 weeks.
