Hi there, on Tuesday I went to my midwife and she listened to baby's heartbeat and all was well, and I came away elated. However later in the day I noticed a sharp pain low down in my right side when I moved too fast or laughed too hard. I know baby is ok thanks to midwife listening to the heart on Tuesday. I rang 111 and was advised to go to a walk in centre straight away but the pain subsided and I went to bed. It then carried on all day yesterday and has continued today. I don't like to make a fuss over something when it is probably nothing - I'm imagining it's probably a pulled muscle, however I've got the obvious worries in the back of my mind. My question is, shall I wait until 2pm to try and get an emergency appointment at my GP or shall I go to a walk in centre now and have myself checked? Or am I just worrying over nothing? Thanks girls Flowers

If 111 told you to go get checked then I would do that.
But Im 13+4 & having similar pains & when I googled it it sounded like it could be round ligament pain? Loads of sites say this is common because your body is preparing for your uterus to get a lot bigger!
Having said that, mine are more like the short sharp twangs your describe, I haven't had anything (yet!) That goes on all day. So I would say go to the walk in but don't feel too panicked!

Thanks! Round ligament pain sounds interesting, hadn't even thought of that. Seeing the GP in a couple of hours :) congrats on your pregnancy! Xxx

Hi there hope you got on okay at gp today. A couple of weeks ago when I was 16 weeks I had a horrible pain low down in right hand side, turns out I was constipated. Prune juice and some more fibre in my diet ha really helped and the pain has totally gone. Just a thought in case that might be the same problem for you too xx

I wasn't constipated, I''ve been several times since it started! GP said it's just normal ligament movement and not to panic :) thank God x,

I had similar pains earlier in the week after going up and down several sets of stairs very quickly. I've had a few twinges already (am quite visible already despite being only 12w+2), but I'm fairly sure I managed to tweak the ligaments by over exerting myself. Had crampy, muscle pain for two days before my 12 week scan and was petrified I'd done something to the baby, but s/he was all fine and the muscle pain has subsided so I think it was just overdoing it a bit!
Having said that, if 111 suggested you go to the walk in, I probably would as they would probably want to check you over just in case!

Round ligaments, almost certainly. According to Google it's more common to experience round ligament pain on the right.

I've had it a lot during my second pregnancy. Sneezed in bed and nearly screamed, the pain was so bad! The sonographer even managed to twang the ligament with the scanner Smile
