maternity pay

I am now 34 weeks. I have a yearly contract with my company working something like 3hrs a week but these are all condensed into working over the summer. I work over the 3hrs per week during that time.
I informed my boss i was pregnant just after my 12 week scan. I have not had any hours since mid September. I asked my boss just before i left about maternity pay and i also emailed her a week ago.
Each time i am told they will look into it. I am getting concerned that it is being left too late- especially if i have to claim the statutory pay.

Any advic?

That's a bit of a tricky one, as it will depend a lot on the exact wording of your contract of employment with them. If you have an annualised hours contract and are specifically called an employee of the company, rather than a worker, then you are entitled to the same maternity benefits as someone who works a 'standard' full time working pattern.

It might be worth giving ACAS a call or ask at your nearest CAB to get more detailed information and advice on what you need to do as far as getting it all sorted, it sounds as though your employer has their head in the ground somewhat! Having a copy of your contract to hand when you make those calls will save loads of time.
