Perming?? Any experience??

I'm due to have a pregnancy photo shoot in a couple of weeks for my birthday and wanted my hair to look a bit snazzy.

I have naturally curly/wavy hair but it's a bit rubbish, unpredictable and doesn't dry well, so I always end up just tying it back or straightening it.

REALLY want a perm - to get some proper set curls in my hair (not ringlets, but a nice loose symetrical curl)

Just wondered if any pregnany ladies had had a perm, when people mention it may not take well, are they talking poodle hair, or just not lasting as long???

Thanks ladies xx

(I've dyed my hair various colours through pregnancy and it's always taken the same as prior to my pregnancy, my hair doesn't seem to have changed much at all)

The best thing to do is probably pop into a salon and have a consultation with a technician.
I think with perms "taking well" depends on your own hair type, porosity and previous colour history.
Who ever does the perm would need to see your hair first to check suitability.
They might be hesitant about doing the perm on you when pregnant, each salon will have their own policy I suspect.
Definitely have a chat with a technician first and they will be able to answer all your questions in much more detail.
