39 weeks today! Anyone want to join me in the last slog?

This is my second baby (DD has just turned 2) and I'm finding these last few weeks a real drag! I'm tired, my back hurts and I just want to get on with it.

Anyone else fancy a moan? Blush

I'm 41 weeks today and really hoping baby decides to make an appearance before I'm induced later this week.
However there is NO sign of baby wanting to make any move :-(

I'm going slightly stir crazy after finishing work two weeks ago, and everything is an effort.
Just fed up now and want my baby!!

I'll join! 39 weeks tomorrow with my first. Totally don't know what to expect, excited but nervous. And getting very uncomfortable!

Bump being over due is horrible, so really feel for you. DD was 11 days over due (ending up with me being induced) and it wasn't fun. Really hoping to avoid all that this time.

Charlie I think getting more and more uncomfortable is the worst part. It's so frustrating not being able to move around as you would like.

38+3 with my first bit having a sweep next Monday because this darling child of mine has seemingly broken one of my ribs with all of her wiggling! I'm frightfully short and DP is not..midwife quote from this morning 'there's just no room in there and she needs to come out now'. Luckily she's in the right position and engaged so fingers crossed I'm not left in the lurch too long; I can't handle many more nights where I'm crying in pain.
Lots of false starts the last week too, I just need one decent nights sleep before she comes!

I'll be 38 weeks on Wednesday with DS2. Finally made it to maternity leave and just want these last few weeks to go as quickly as possible. Still being sick at least a couple of times a day and really looking forward to never being pregnant again!

Spending the first few days of maternity leave binge watching Netflix, any recommendations appreciated!

I am 38 weeks today and on my first day of Maternity Leave, really want to meet m little person soon!

39+1 with DS2, struggling to do fun things with DS1 (2.5) and the weather isn't helping. He has helpfully decided that he doesn't need naps anymore which is great timing!

No sign of anything happening anytime soon, and as DS was 10 days late I don't think there will be any action for a while

38+3 and very fed up! This is DC1, and I am so excited to meet him or her, but despite false starts at the weekend with hours of very strong BH nothing else appears to be happening. I don't know what I'll do if he or she is late.

It's so frustrating being limited in what you can do physically when you've got all this time on your hands suddenly due to maternity leave. It feels like such a waste!

37+4 here and so ready too! As of Wednesday baby was apparently 9lbs according to consultant and I'd really like to meet him/her. I've been on mat leave for 10 days and bored already and I could have weeks to wait. Sore ribs and snoring like a jet plane so not getting a lot of sleep!
Seeing consultant on Thursday again to discuss how mega baby is coming out!

39+1 today with DC2. DD (2.10 years old) was 13 days late so really really not hoping for a repeat. Managing to still take DD out and about but definitely bored of waiting now, come on, out you get!

Ugh, I feel you BumpOct - I'm 41+2 today. This is now my 4th week of mat leave and I did everything I needed to do in the first few weeks. Have had two sweeps so far, MW very positive both times and Bishop's Score increased encouragingly from one to the other. MW seems to think my body is ready I just need the contractions to start... but they bloody well won't, I've not had any false starts or anything. Don't know what else I can do! Got another sweep tomorrow and failing that an inducement on Friday.

Would really like to go into labour naturally rather than inducement but I suppose if I'm still in the same position by Friday I'll just be glad to get it all started :(

39+1 here with DC3 and fed up too. Keeping busy to try to stop thinking about it. I don't feel like it's gonna happen anytime soon either. BH have disappeared and just the odd wriggle from baby. DS was 2 weeks early by c section (little tinker was breech and didn't want to turn) DD was 7 days late. People keep telling me how this one should come early and keep asking if anything is happening. Obviously bloody not otherwise you would know! Thinking about unpacking and re packing my hospital bag just for something to do!

Thinking about unpacking and re packing my hospital bag just for something to do!

I just did this exact thing! I packed it about 4 weeks ago. So bored...

I think baby is moving down. I keep getting shooting pain down below and hips (inside leg at the top of my groin) are being pushed apart.

Never had this with DD. No other signs though.

Hello all! 38+6 & fed up of being pregnant. BUT also self employed & have work to do first, so completely not ready for baby! Was put on antibiotics today for chest infection as well. Going to try for productive day tomorrow to clear backlog of work, and pack labour/hospital bag properly.

MumaBex · 03/11/2014 20:24

unpacked and repacked the bag. Seem to be more tired this last week. Maybe my body is telling me to get extra sleep ready for the big push.

Mumabex, last night was the first night in weeks that I slept ok & found it impossible to get up this morning. Was wondering the same. Hope to sleep ok tonight as well.

38 tomorrow. Exam on thursday and then i can go on maternity leave. My back has been ok today, but i have done something to my groin, other than the obvious. Dealing with tantrums from 3 yo is not fun.
