Pregnancy

Is there any chance this could be ok?

I'm 7+4 today. Possibly.

I had no pregnancy symptoms apart from 10 positive tests. GP was satisfied that all was well.

On Monday I felt like I had a uti, so I went to the walk in GP close to work. I had a minor infection and got prescribed amoxcillin, which I started taking. From that point of view, all is fine. I also booked a private scan for this evening on Monday.

On Tuesday I started getting some really light pink spotting. I called the GP who felt that it was a side effect of thrush from the antibiotics.

Yesterday, I had red blood, a bit like a moderate flow period, some light cramping and a couple of clots. Not tiny ones, but not that big. I think. But how would I know? Anyway, there's some light, red bleeding today, but again, nothing to hectic. Slight cramps but I feel fine in myself.

I also have light nausea.

Is there any chance that I'll hear anything other than that I've miscarried at tonight's scan?

There is a chance, many people have bleeding and go on to have uneventful pregnancies. Obviously there is also the chance that things don't work out this time and, unfortunately, only the scan can really tell you what the situation is.

I hope all goes well for you.

Hi Apocalypse,
There is still a chance. I know of several people who have had bleeding and clotting due to a sub chorionic hematoma ( area of bleeding where the placenta attaches to the uterus) and the baby has been totally fine.
Obviously bleeding is a very worrying sign, and you are doing the right thing by preparing yourself mentally in case it is bad news at the scan.
Sending my thought your way, I miscarried at 12 weeks in February, so I do understand as do lots of us here on this board. Please come back and tell us how you get on

Well, as expected, I did miscarry. It's actually fine, now that it is confirmed.
