Keep hearing about the bargains at kidicare. Anyone been to the Enfield one recently. Is it worth the trip?

Hmmm. I went the other day. The place already looks like it's been ransacked! There are some good bargains but not too much stock left so you may not find anything you want.

I went to a different branch expecting nothing as we had been told they had been cleared out. But it had been restocked and was full of stuff. That was about 2 weeks ago. I got a couple of things but I dont know the babies gender. Id have bought a lot more if I did!

My dp went to the one in Hayes and send me a few pics of stuff dd might like, I looked it up on their website to see measurements etc and it was all cheaper online in the sale, so probably not worth the journey!

Went a couple of weekends ago to Enfield and there wasn't much we wanted to buy, and a lot of it wasn't that cheap e.g. compared to cheaper shops like asda. It was also total chaos and lots of bargy people! Although perhaps weekends are to be avoided...

I've heard they restock regularly so perhaps it is luck of the draw what's in there when you go.

You could combine a trip with the big mothercare and IKEA at Edmonton, a short drive away, if you've got lots of baby shopping to do then perhaps it might be more worthwhile if Kiddicare has been ransacked?

I'd only bother if there are things you know you need and can ring and ask if they're in stock. We've been to Rotherham twice this week and it was cleared out of decent stuff both times.

We went yesterday to Enfield and got a few bits but it was pretty decimated and that was first thing.

We got a travel cot and mattress for about £40, some Christmas present toys for friends, and the best bargain was a car seat for 9 months plus £110 and babyseat £36 so all we need now is the base for the two but saved us about £100 on the two and a microwave steraliser for £15 instead of £25.

There was a lot of somethings and not much choice - the two things we went looking for we failed to get but understand why.

We saved LOADS of money at the Nottingham store - but lots of things are already gone. We got things like cot bed, Isofix base, car seat etc at least 25% off the sale price.

I went to bristol yesterday. Got a bargain baby monitor but nothing else on my list. Some stuff wasn't really cheaper than amazon. They seemed to have a fair few toys, car seats and cots available but limited electronics.

Just a word to the wise. Check your receipt before you leave the store. We had an item put through the till twice. Put it this way, it didn't look accidental.

Ooh another word to the wise - the Nottingham store isn't accepting returns, you have to take things back to the Peterborough store which is staying open. We found this out after lugging 4 boxes of wardrobe to Notts with me squished in the back - then we had to just bring them back home after buying a cot and car seat - not the most comfy journey of my life!

We went to the Lakeside one on Sunday, and promptly left again. Reminded me a bit of Primark on a Saturday afternoon - stuff everywhere, people pushing and shoving to get to stuff and queues we absolutely massive. I decided it wasn't worth it for the bits I wanted to get.

Does anyone know if the stores are still accepting the kiddicare vouchers you get when registering online? Mine came today I signed up ages ago!

They are still accepting the vouchers - guess they have to as the online business is still running even though they are closing the shops, and you can use some of them in store or online.

I am just on my way home. There was not much left compared to a few weeks ago. I got 2 changing mats a lindam door bouncer and 3 teddy toy things and spent 37 quid. I saw a good rocker bouncer swing combo thing but it was an ex display and it was a bit worn out . They wouldnt let me use the vouchers!
