baby hiccups feeling weak

I have always been able fo feel baby's hiccups quite strongly but today they feel very weak and in a slightly different position. Can position affect how these are felt? I'm 36 weeks. Very nervous now!

Contact your mw or delivery suite.

37 weeks and mine definitely depend on baby position but please do call them if you're worried.

Hiccups don't actually count as "movement" as they are involuntary - how is deliberate movement (eg kicks, wiggles, pokes)? If there has been reduction of these go to hospital.

Ring your mw for reassurance but just as with adults the involuntary movement of hiccups can vary from mild to strong. Also if the head is descended hiccups may feel different (mine do).
