Hello I have the implant, I have had it for over a year now and have had two periods whilst being on this, I usually get tender boobs a week before I come on. But recently in have had extremely sore and tender breast has lasted for now bout 3 weeks. And I never usually have it for this long. But there are no other signs of my time of month and doesn't seem like it will be coming any time soon. My sister and friend say to do pregnancy test should I? And are we just jumping to conclusion to early.

No one can tell you if you're pregnant or not. The only way to know is do a test. Probably not what you want to hear but it's true!

Well I'm thinking it may just be the spymtoms of menstrul cycle so I don't think on is need but sister and friend think I should do one because just because it's worked for time being doesn't mean it won't have failed and should check. Should I wait

What's the harm in just doing a test? I'm not sure why you're asking?

Apparently its quite common for people to have early pregnancy symptoms when on the implant, I had a few weeks of having loads of symptoms, sore boobs, bloatedness nausea etc I really thought I was pregnant even after getting a negative pregnancy test!I wasn't, and lots of googling told me it's quite common.
I'm sure your not as the implant is a really reliable form of contraception. But do a test to make yourself feel better.

When I was on the implant (8 years in total!) my periods got lighter and after a year or so I stopped having periods almost altogether (about once a year or so -v. unpredictable!). The implant is very reliable. As far as I could find out the only times people got pregnant on it was when they had already conceived or had sex in the first week.

Take a test if you want to be sure.
