Hi, I'm 38 weeks and generally have a really healthy diet, lots of fruit and veg etc. however I've always had a really sweet tooth which hasn't changed during pregnancy. This last week since I've started maternity leave ive been so hungry and I've eaten loads of chocolate, biscuits and cake and now I'm feeling really guilty about it!

I am going to try to curb this habit for the remainder of the pregnancy but do you think all this sugar will have had any negative effects on baby? I don't have gestational diabetes or anything but I'm still worrying now!! Xx

Not sure, but I've been the same this week blush

Can you try swapping in some healthier stuff? Maybe bake yourself some healthier cakes like skinny banana muffins and try to keep healthy snacks and tempting fruit around?

I'm in the same boat and also concerned as diabetes runs in the family. I don't think it will do baby any harm but it might help you to think -is this what I should be feeding baby?! And then maybe you'll reach for the fruit.

I'm the same, I've been addicted to Coke and anything with sugar since the beginning. My doctor has told me to step away for the cake just because my weight is a bit higher than it should be for 28 weeks. I think all it does to baby is make it a bit more energetic for a while. My reasoning is that if I've stopped wine/loads of coffee, I can have a few biscuits of an evening!
