Anterior placenta and weird stomach pains

Hi MN ladies,

Just wondered if any of you out there who have/had anterior placentas had random stitch like pain that appears out of no where, hurts like crazy and then dies down after about 10-15 mins.

I had a couple of episodes today, first time I thought it was gas, took deflatine and had a cup of peppermint tea. Second time I was walking home from work at 1pm and ended up having to phone DH to come and get me when I was literally 2 minutes from the house as it felt like my insides were being ripped apart. Got in sat down, DH made me a cuppa and I felt almost instantly better. Pain always radiates around where my placenta is. I'm 23 weeks today and have a MW app on Tuesday, I'd sooner leave calling about this, unless it gets worse. Dd is still moving in usual pattern.

I had this but earlier on at around 11 weeks. I have an anterior placenta and felt very little at 23 weeks in terms of movement I'm now almost 34 weeks and I feel him strongly. I was told my pains that sound just like yours were gas related as they could see lots of bowel gas on scan.x
