Sickness?

Does this sound like normal pregnancy sickness? I've never had it before and don't know if it's meant to be like this. I'm aware this is a stupid question!

Today I've felt like I've got heartburn all day, and my stomach feels a bit delicate. If stand up too quickly I feel like I'm gonna throw up. I haven't actually been sick tho.

??

Sounds very normal assuming you are in your first trimester (which lasts approx 2 months after your first missed period). You may find you start actually being sick as time goes on, but you could be lucky and it not get that bad.

I think you will find as time goes on that basically, any thing and everything is 'normal' in pregnancy! With regard sickness and nausea, some people get none, some people hae such extreem sickness it requires hospitalisation, drips, uber medication, the lot. There is a massively wide variation in the level of nausea and sickness people experience. For many, it eases up around 12 weeks, but there's plenty for whom that is not the case. Mile stones tend to be 12, 16, 20 and 24 weeks. Last pregnancy my nausea lasted until I gave birth, but it did ease slightly in steps at around 16, 20 and 24 weeks.

Try rennies for the heart burn. Eating little and often can help with sickness and nausea, as well as getting as much rest as you can. Remember to keep well hydrated, especially if you start being sick a lot. If drinks are difficult, try ice lollies. Eat a bit of what ever you fancy if you feel ropey. Good luck!
