Silly or weird dreams

Just got to share...v odd.

I dreamt last night that Roderick Hunt and Alex Brychta (the author and illustrator of lots of the Oxford Reading Tree books) were actually greats of the literary world. In my dream, I was amazed to discover that, far from the books being simple, formulaic stories designed to help small children learn to read, each one was actually based upon the hugely distilled version of a classic! (Which is obviously, in real life, utter nonsense!)

I was even impressed that I'd known and used the author/illustrator's names in my dream! I've not taught using these books for years, and my little one is only 23 months, so not reading ORT yet!

It amused and amazed me greatly when I woke up. Anyone else had bizarre dreams where they recall weird and/or irrelevant info from the past and make odd connections?!

I had a dream about running 'concept dinner parties' based on literary greats. The one in my dream was Bring up the Bodies by Hilary Mantel - all the food was themed around the story, all costumes and music. I haven't even read the book!

Also had a disturbing dream about oral sex with one of the dinner LADIES at work. Urgh, can't look her in the face.

Also another one about being on the receiving end of anal sex and loving it.

All the sex dreams are getting a bit weird to be honest. But the concept dinner parties one was a favourite.

These are priceless! I'm sure pregnant women could come up with some great inventions through their dreams. The concept dinner parties being a case in point...patent the idea now! Wink

I dreamt I needed the toilet and was in a disgusting nightclub toilet and when I finally got a cubicle there was no toilet in there but a spoon and a chicken.... I was actually thinking of how I could fashion a toilet out of them

I don't think I'm inventing anything through my dreams anytime soon

Haha! These are great.

What do you make of this one? I dreamt I had the baby and my twelve year old son was breast feeding him on the sofa with his little boobies Confused

Here's one.
We were holidaying in a double decker caravan(?). We were just putting my toddler to bed in an upstairs bedroom, when I noticed if I stood in the far corners of the bedroom in my pregnant and heavy state, the caravan seemed to rock or teeter in the direction I was standing. I found this amusing rather than concerning and went downstairs to sit in the lounge area. My husband than did this, but when he walked back to the middle where the stairs were, the ceiling wallpaper ripped apart and I could see him clear as day from downstairs. Very calmly, like it was perfectly expected, he then said 'I think that's a call to park managed

Oops...
...a call to park management, don't you. He came downstairs with our toddler in his arms and was just dialling calmly when we talked about whether we wanted to move on the Thursday before we go home in 2 days time, or whether we should accept another stay should they be kind enough to apologise and offer one!
I don't know what happened, but in the next part of the dream i was in an outdoor bed. I was quite chilled, even watching a spider the size of my palm with an egg on it spin a web on a light attached to the bed. Then I realised that I hate spiders and it freaked me out. I saw lots more nearby and in trees overhead. I moved the quilt and it was attached to the web which alerted the spiders I was there. The next moment, spiders are crawling towards me and in my jeans. I tried to kick them off - but that woke me up into reality, do I thought I'd type this.
Utterly bizarre and no rhyme or reason. Serves me right for having an early night! I wonder what the rest of the night will bring. Confused

Oh my god these are priceless.

I dreamt a gave birth to a thumb (with face drawn on in biro) and swaddled it up and was telling everyone how adorable it was Confused

Also dreamt I had a girl (can't remember what it looked like but it was bigger than thumb size) and my mum said "where's the baby, I want to meet her?" and I said "oh alright, hang on a sec", rummaged around in my handbag and fished it out like a bedraggled kitten.

Haven't had any odd dreams recently been too tiered to dream I think

Anyhoo, when I was about 10weeks, I had a dream DH and I were on holiday on a boat. I'd gotten off and gone for a walk as we had docked somewhere. By the time I had come back, there had been a zombie apocalypse and I (and the baby I was now carrying in my arms) were zombies. DH had turned the boat we were on into a fort but refused to let me on. Suddenly the baby lept from my arms and bit off his face!!

I was, according to dh, talking in my sleep saying, "no baby no, that's daddy's face" and "sorry hunny we have a wild one here"
