saccharomyces boulardii in pregnancy

I have been given saccharomyces boulardii to take after a course of anti-biotics. Is this safe to take in pregnancy? The pharmacist who gave it to me didn't know I was pregnant...

Anyone had any experience?

I've had it after anti-biotics but not during pregnancy, (h. Pylori infection, 4 weeks of v. Strong anti-bs)

It helps repopulate the good bacteria in your system. No worse than taking an actimel or Yakult every day. It's a type of yeast as far as I know. It really helped me, lots of anti biotics and me equals very dodgy tummy and thrush.

Read guidance with the medicine - most say don't take when pregnant unless instructed to by Dr. I would go back to pharmacy/ call dr/ 111 to seek advice first before taking.

This website www.everydayhealth.com/drugs/saccharomyces-boulardii-lyo says
You should not take saccharomyces boulardii lyo without your healthcare provider's advice if you are pregnant or may become pregnant during treatment.
