Birth weight - DC3, bit worried

I am short and a bit heavy for my size, 5'2" but generally around 10.5 stone. I am however a size 12 so I've always figured it's heavy bones! DH is 5'10" but we both have tall brothers who are 6'2".

DD was 7lb4oz at term, and has stayed short and petite. Eighteen months later I had DS who was a bit of a shocker at 8lb8oz and a long one. He's stayed long and heavy, weighs more than DD now he's three and is as tall as she is. He is 75th centile, she is 25th centile.

I'm unexpectedly pregnant with DD2 and I've got myself in a bit of a tizzy about how much she's going to weigh. I was pretty neat until a couple of weeks ago and now at 24 weeks I feel enormous. I had assumed she would be smaller than DS, but what if I have an even bigger baby? DS did a fair amount of damage on the way out, even though he was a very easy delivery (no pushing, he just sort of flew out suddenly) and I'm worried that if I have 9lb+ baby I'm going to tear even worse than I did with DS.

Could anyone who has had a DC3 reassure me that they're not always bigger than previous babies? My mum had five, and they got progressively bigger, but even her fifth wasn't as big as DS. If it means anything at all, I started off thinner before I got pregnant this time than I did with DS (when I clearly hadn't lost any baby weight from nine months before).

I have big babies, but at 8lb 2 my second was my smallest. DC1 was biggest. DC3 is also the first time I have got away with a 'graze'.

HTH!

Im only on dc1 but my mum had 3 of us and we went dd1 7lb 13, dd2 (me) 8lb 2, dd3 7lb 2.

My little sister has a different dad and hes 6'2, where as my dad is only 5'7. So it is possible to have a smaller one.

HTH

I'm second born out of 3 and at 9lbs 13 I was the biggest. Although my 'little' brother is now 6'4" me and my older sister are both 5'10".

Thank you! That does help :) I guess DS might have torn me up a bit because he had big shoulders (that was when it happened) but I can be hopeful that I'll have a smaller, if denser, girl.

Men are always trying to pick me up because they think I am light. I am not light. I was mortified when one of them seriously hurt his back trying it :( I always come up as overweight on the charts, even when I'd had dysentry for months on and off and was a size ten. Pah.
