When did you get a bump with your first?

I'm only 12+5 and im definatly showing.
I was a size 10 before but always had abit of a wobbly belly... I don't have a bump- just a spare tire that's making me look like I've eaten too much!!
And tbh I'm quite worried I'm going to be huge- and then have a huge baby!! Did anyone show early and not have a massive baby?

I had pretty much nothing to see until 20/22 weeks

Jup me! Showed early that even my own parents asked if I'm expecting twins. Grin but bump slowed down toward the end of pregnancy. So I wasn't huge as I expected because I showed early.. Maybe you have an anterior placenta. That is what I had
Had a son at 40+5 weeks and he weighed 7lb14 oh and I was a size 10

Ah, you were looking for assurances the other way! Ah well, fwiw I looked tiny but measured fine right up to term... Turns out there was nearly 8lb of baby hiding there.
There's very little difference in fetal size at your time (otherwise dating scans would be useless!), so size at this stage wouldn't have any bearing on how big or otherwise baby will turn out to be.
Honestly, don't sweat it - you'll end up with randomers on the street interchangeably telling you you're big/small/definitely carrying a boy/girl Wink

I went really squidgy at about 11/12 weeks & tummy felt huge, esp in the evenings, but it was more like 17-18 weeks when I developed a definite hard (& very obvious) bump.

Dont worry, early bump or even big bump doesnt necessarily mean big baby. I was huge by the end & everyone kept saying baby would be big scaring me to death at the thought of trying to push that out & he was 7lb exactly, he'd just been swimming in a lot of fluid!

I'm 12 weeks and definitely have a spare tyre now - I seem to have put on weight under my boobs and across my ribs. It's all very squidgy and not hard at all.

I think some of it is still bloating as I start of the day with a relatively flat tummy and then it gets bigger and bigger.

I've only told a few people but won't be able to keep it quiet for much longer as I sense some people are starting to notice!!

I remember not long after finding out, needing to unbutton my jeans when. I sat down because I was bloated.
I'm not sure when I started showing properly but I'd say by 16 weeks there was a bump. I put on lots of weight (I think I felt the need to feel full to feel pregnant- I was only 17 and a size 10).
By the end I was big but baby only weighed 8lb 2 oz.
I was a similar size bump wise with my second but put on less weight and he was 8lb 10oz.
I am pregnant again and nearly 18 weeks and sometimes showing, sometimes not and I'm a size 8.
I would imagine I'll have a similar weight baby again this time X Good luck x

Thanks everyone I'm just really worried ! I have just been eating rubbish due to morning sickness and a 12 hour working day in an office so that hasn't helped!
Definatly just look fat at moment though not pregnant- but worried that people will judge me but Spose everyone's different ! Xx

Loads of bloat that looked exactly like a bump from week 6 - 12, then nothing until 20/21 weeks. It's gone nuts in the last week, I can't hide it anymore - got a definite hard bump from probably 4cm above my belly button right down to my pube line. When I lie on my back, it sticks up loads, especially from the bottom.

I'm just into the 'proper bump' stage at 20 weeks - would be hard to mistake now. But since about 11/12 weeks it's been noticeable to me but likely just looked like a food baby to others!

I'm trusting what everyone says that big early doesn't mean massive later! I was a size 10 pre pregnancy also.

I was a size 10 with my first pregnancy and by 10 weeks i had a little bump :) then by 16 weeks i was absolutely massive!! i coukdnt see my feet! But it was judt all water, by 24 weeks i was that big i had to wear size 16 clothes, but honestly was just all water. My baby was born at 24 weeks and he was a dot, weighed 1.5lb and was only 33cm long. Your probably just carrying a lot of fluid dont worry about it x

I had a bit of a rounded belly up until 20 wks but nothing that anyone would notice (just me). From about 22 wks I really popped and it grew a lot between then and now (28 wks).

I was doing my trouser buttons up with a hairband by about 14 weeks but not a bump, just general thickening.

Don't worry about eating whatever crap you can keep down in the first trimester, its quite normal. Remember you have been growing a little human - legs, liver, brain, spinal cord, everything - and thats really really hard work for your body so giving it what it asks for is absolutely fine.

As you get towards the second trimester and the major development is done your appetite will probably go back to whatever is normal for you, plus a bit. Unless you're really unlucky you should feel a hundred percent better by about 15-16 weeks.

Oh, and growth goes in spurts. Between 14 and about 20-22 weeks lots of women don't seem to grow at all, even though baby is growing nicely inside, and it seems a bit like you're not pregnant at all and its just imaginings. Especially when you're waiting for the first flutters, first heartbeat, any sign that something's actually going on. Then suddenly your stomach explodes overnight and that spare tyre turns into an obvious baby bump.

My zumba students spotted it at 9 weeks with my first.

I didn't show at all until well passed 6m, and baby was huge ( he was 9lb, I had only put on 10). My SIL was PG at the same time and looked like she had swallowed a beach ball from about 14 weeks; her DS was only 6lb.

I was very slim before I got pg, size 6-8, I had a bump I could feel, & needed maternity trousers for work, at 8 weeks. Had an obvious bump at 12 weeks, I put a heck of a lot of weight on though & had a pretty big baby.
