Reassurance needed- faint lines, spotting, ivf pregnancy and miscarriages : ((((((

Hello,

I need some kind words and positivity!!! Sad

I have had donor egg ivf in the Czech Republic and am currently 8 days past a 5 day transfer (13dpo) of some lovely embryos. So literally as my friend keeps reminding me- they have only been in my tummy 8 days!

Now on Monday (11dpo) I had some pink spotting when I wiped and this carried on to yesterday lunchtime. Nothing heavy or major, clinic stopped my aspirin and bleeding has stopped. Because I thought it was all over on Monday I did a test and it was positive- well, I was shocked!! Tested again Tuesday morning, Tuesday night AND this morning and they are all positive but faint and all still the same- no darker.

Did an internet cheapie tonight too and that is clearly positive although faint.

I have a hcg blood test tomorrow but I'm thinking that at 14dpo (4weeks pregnant by donors cycle) and with such faint tests, the level is gonna be LOW. And I'm so scared Sad

I have had 8 years of TTC, miscarriages, such sad sad times. And I really want this baby to stay but I feel awful that things look rocky already. The spotting and the faint tests. It's just all scaring me so much. If it was a natural pregnancy, I don't think I would even know at this stage!

I just really want some positivity and a hand hold. I feel so rotten.

Hi tame. My lines seemed to get lighter this time and I was going crazy, but blood tests showed my HCG levels going up, so I gave up the piss sticks!

I really hope this is it for you. I'm around for a handhold whenever you need it. x

Euro ((((()))))) I'm so worried- nobody seems to get it!

Sad thing is, I 'feel' pregnant. Really feel it. But I know my hormones aren't going to match what I feel.

After all those hcg tests for the last mc, I feel sick to my stomach about what the number will be. Absolutely sick.

I predict 20 Sad

I've been there - with a bad HCG and with good ones.

Remember you are testing super early - the lines are going to be faint. You're not even at the "missed period" point yet that would trigger most of the population into thinking about going out and buying a test.

I'll have everything crossed for you tomorrow. x

That's what my friends and DH keep saying- it's still early!!

If this mornings test had been a smudge darker I would have felt so much better.

Then I tell myself that with the miscarriages, I had good dark lines and they failed- perhaps this one is different and for keeps??!!!

I was comparing my pee sticks this time to the ones from when I was pregnant before my mc and the mc ones seemed darker! But my HCG was about double this time at 14dpo what it was for the mc pregnancy. Step away from the wee sticks, lady!

What was your hcg at 14dpo euro?? X

SOme of your tests look really strong to me (especially the 3rd one down of the first pic)

I tested at the same stage as you with this pregnancy and the line was so faint I put the test down and thought oh well I'm not pregnant, I'll have a couple a glass of wine tonight. Dp came home and the test had dried and was a very faint but noticable line, that test was lighter than all of your tests but I'm 14 weeks pregnant with an aparently healthy baby.

Good luck, I'm thinking dark line thoughts for you!

Why do we do it to ourselves??!!!

I have first response tests lined up on my windowsill and I keep looking at them and feeling wretched. I am still only 13dpo today.

I hope I get a good level tomorrow. I can't even THINK about it. My brain just won't process it.

What do you think of my tests above?? I need opinions please- do they look too light??

Thanks Ike- I thought that test looked dark too, then this mornings looked a tad lighter and really upset me Sad

My tests also got lighter, but then it was darker the day after, it is so much to do with urine concentration and individual tests done with the same urine can show fairly differing results (can you tell I am a slight testing addict?)

All of your testst look 100% positive to me, they all look like they have colour in the lines and I'm not having to squint to see the line.

Do you want me to post my test which was on the day my period was due?

I went so cazy with testing with my first pregnancy that I actually broke open one of the first respone tests (the ones where they tell you how many weeks you are) with a hammer so I could see how strong the line was.

I would worry that your tests might be fading in the light of the window, so don't be alarmed if they look lighter than you remembered.

Another IVF'er here and totally understand how you feel. Currently 17 weeks and touch wood, all seems ok, but when I was at your stage, I did one HPT that showed I was pregnant and then the next day I did another test and the line definitely looked more faint (and DH agreed, it wasn't just my paranoia). I was absolutely terrified and convinced it meant it was a chemical pregnancy and wouldn't stick...but all as I said, seems ok so far. After those two tests I didn't do any more, it just got me too worked up.

For what it is worth, your lines all look good and strong to me, but I know it isn't easy to feel convinced or confident at this early stage. I found this an incredibly difficult and anxious time, you are not alone! Sending un-mumsnetty hugs your way and hopefully your HCG levels will be reassuring.

I wish it was that easy Hmm

After tomorrow's blood test, I'll try to
Breathe easy. Unless the level is low in which case I'll be spending my bank holiday weekend on google....

I stopped testing after the first blood test result. Because it clearly showed that the sticks meant nothing in terms of strength.

G'luck for tomorrow, tame.

Remember those ic tests can take forever to get a darker line on. Good luck with your bloods today.

Hope your blood test gives you a good strong result. This is my first test on the evening of 15 DPO. SOOOO faint! I'd had a BFN with FMU on 13DPO. Am now 33 weeks pregnant. Your tests look really good to me.
