Pregnancy

Symptoms... Where are you??

Possibly starting to having my first pregnancy related panic, think I'm just after reassurance or stories and experiences!
I have no symptoms. Like, NO symptoms. Except missing my period (obviously!!)
I'm 9+1, had a scan at 6 weeks due to previous health complications and was confirmed that my little buddy had settled in the correct place and was assured there was a heartbeat. The nurse told me not to worry about lack of symptoms and they would soon be here with me wishing I hadn't been expecting them. But 3 weeks later still nothing.
Am I just very very VERY lucky with no right to be worried? Blush X

I had practically none!! A little nausea between weeks 6 and 9. And then just tiredness. But that's all. I'm 18 weeks now and being regularly kicked and punched by my little bean. Symptoms aren't necessarily an indicator of anything, having read a LOT on here it would seem it is so so different for everyone.

14+3 and all I had was a bit of nausea (hellish some days) and mega sore boobs from 5-9 weeks after that nothing!!!! Mini mallow is growing nicely as confirmed by my scan and my ever increasing belly!!!

Hi patchmo
Totally in your boat! 8+3 and apart from sore boobs for about a week at the start I've had no symptoms at all. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. It's terrifying. Never thought I'd want ms so much.

I had 2 early scans where I was measuring a bit behind, but had a heartbeat so just keeping everything crossed for next scan on Thursday.

I've read that a good indicator of whether you'll have symptoms is if your mum had them with her pregnancy(s). Might be worth talking to her or other female family members if you can?

Symptoms mean nothing. I had sore boobs, awful taste in my mouth etc and had a MMC. Then sore boobs and major food aversions with DC1. This time, nothing except a bump - no sore boobs, no sickness, not a thing. Am 35 weeks and DC2 is moving around like a good 'un so definitely ok!

I'm almost 15 weeks with dc2 and have since week 8 no symptoms. Except sometimes tired but I blame my active 7 month old son for it Grin and headaches (but I figured out if I eat chocolate they go away)

Sometimes I'm worried too but then I feel the flutters of the little one and I relax..

My mom was the same she mentioned to me on the weekend. When she was pregnant with me (second child for her) she had no symptoms and didn't even feel me. So that was scary for her.. Well turned out good as I'm soon a mother of two wonderful kids Grin

Hi everyone! Here is the same...I'm 4+6 today and only have sore boobs basically ...I'm passing urine more often but I must say that I've increased my water intake since I found I was pregnant... Another thing, this morning felt a bit nauseated but no vomiting..I'm not sure if it was pregnancy related or just because I was hungry..after I had my breakfast everything was ok again...I don't know what to think cause I'm only having small small signs of pregnancy but not like the proper ones if you see what I mean... Looking forward for the scan to make sure baby is well! Xxx

Don't worry-I went through my whole pregnancy without "symptoms". A tiny bit of nausea around 8/9 weeks but I think I mainly talked myself into that!!! Even at the very end no swelling, tiredness, insomnia-nothing of interest- I wouldn't have known I was pregnant but for my bump! DS absolutely fine- I'm thinking that if I get pregnant again I'll get them ALL!!!

Raging heartburn. In fact that was how I knew I was pregnant.. Otherwise nothing! Fear not xxx

I'm 27 weeks with my first and I've had very few symptoms. Sore breasts for first 4 weeks but that's it really...unless you count being sick on the pavement at 25 weeks (classy!) Smile

Think we're just lucky so wouldn't worry that you haven't got symptoms!

my thoughts would be that if you've never had many symptoms and you've seem a heart beat then that's probably just your bodies reaction (or lack of) to pregnancy and I wouldn't worry. its not like you've been chucking up 3 times a day and now suddenly don't even feel queasy on a bus :p

if you get worried book an early scan? If not enjoy being spared the horrors of the first trimester :p

Rosa you may be kicked in the teeth by symptoms in the next week or so :p

Going to the greengrocers and heaving at the sight of apples and oranges placed next to each other. A feeling that foods were either clean or dirty. So bizarre; pizza and curry were clean but packaged convenience foods were " tainted". Also an aversion to Earl grey tea ( which I previously loved) and ditto packaged bread. And don't get me started on toast and crying when I saw puppies or kittens.

I am almost 9 weeks pregnant with my first & apart from tiredness have had no symptoms either. I was worried at first but have tried to ease my mind by thinking I must just be very lucky & perhaps my time will come!!

I had very few with my son 8 years ago......only extreme tiredness around week 8...no nausea to speak of at all!

Consider yourself lucky =)

I was the same - if it wasn't for my hubby administering a pg test (I laughed at him that from peeing on a stick one does not get pregnant!) I wouldn't probably even know that I am pregnant.

The only thing that bugged me around 8/9 weeks was sensitivity to certain smells (strong perfumes)

Nausea, vomitting, food aversions, low blood pressure & dizziness, crazy tiredness, sensitivity to smells. And only 8 weeks.

I would say nothing because I've not vomited. My DH would probably disagree as he's born the brunt of emotional outbursts and tiptoed round while I have impromptu naps. Boobs also massive! We both agree on that one!

I only had slightly sorer boobs than I would normally before my period (walking down the corridor at work made them sore) other than that nothing. Then tiredness hit me about week 8 where I couldn't stay awake past 8.30 until week 12 when it started to ease off again. I've had nothing else at all and I'm now 23 weeks. Haven't been sick or even felt nauseous once during my pregnancy.

Coming up to my 12 weeks scan I was convinced that there would be nothing there and I had tricked my own body into not having a period because I wanted a baby so badly. I had so few symptoms (tiredness could have been due to anything) that I didn't feel pregnant at all. I am only starting to feel pregnant now that I can feel baby moving (from 19+6) and my belly is starting to grow and look pregnant instead of fat Grin

You are just VERY VERY lucky and there is no need to be worried. Enjoy the pregnancy while you can.

9 weeks and have had constant vomiting for 2, been in and out of hospital to be put on IV drip to rehydrate. Signed off work and being a very lousy mum to my toddler as vomiting is triggered by as little as sitting up in bed - thankfully my husband is being a star! I just want to cry though and not looking forward to the rest of this pregnancy at all.

Be very very grateful!

I think you're very lucky! I'm 8+3 and have had symptoms since week3 - nausea, vomiting, dizziness, tiredness, v sore boobs, constipation, food aversions (and some weird cravings...pot noodle?!?!). Enjoy a symptom-free pregnancy while you can, all these could hit any time!
Great that you've already had a scan so you know all is well.
Fingers crossed for you that you remain symptom-free!

Wow don't mock fewer symptoms. Mine started around 4 weeks with slight nausea. Heartburn and sore boobs around week 6. Full on vomiting, tiredness, heartburn and general feeling sick from 8 weeks. I had hoped it would ease but now in 9th week and so far today felt nothing but sick and sleepy.
Can't complain though, it'll be worthwhile in the end :)
